supergman Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Oh, I know. I used Tru rewards with one, full amazon credit with 2 others. I play the game, too. Just wonder when I look at some ebay listings. Quote

But just to give you an indication of the scale of Doctor Who Fans out there. Doctor Who launched in the UK in 1963 ran until 1989 and was re-launched in 2005. Viewing peaked in the late 70s at around 10 million (UK population being 56million at the time). When it came back in 2005 viewing figures initially averaged around 8 million. Original fans existed without the show on air for 15 years. I’m not a fan, but growing up with it in the 70’s/80’s I watch the show out of nostalgia. We pretty much have 3 generations of fans of the show now. 5 Quote

Try typing Doctor Who into the podcasts section of ITunes and see how many results you get. 1 Quote
HandyHand Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 In case some here were still having doubts: Is the official Doctor Who Lego set worth buying? RadioTimes.com finds that Doctor Who's first ever Lego set is "surprisingly difficult to build" but "immensely rewarding" Quote

Who cares if it depends on earlier money. If I don't count it against my previous purchase it counts for what I spend it on. If I get a discount on a set it counts. Is this just another assumption that I counted the read points against the item I earned them on? Edited December 2, 2015 by MarxMarvelous Quote
jay4e Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Ill just say comparing Doctor Who and Big Bang is like comparing Star Trek and Full House.... 4 Quote

For the record, I didn't make the comparison from a show perspective, just from a set perspective. Niche audiences that may or may not sell so well. I haven't watched either. Quote
conceptmachine Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Now Star Trek I would buy. How about "the bridge" or a UCS Enterprise. Quote
Poly 30286 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Sorry, I forgot we were in Doctor Who Quote

Didn't Full House finish over 20 years ago? I really like the Big Bang Theory and I have bought the set to build. But in season 1 it was new and quirky and the characters were much nerdy. Now it's become more like a generic US sitcom. A good one, but still generic. Quote

Star Trek - 4 shows, how many movies, and how many spin offs? I know Star Trek never had the Olsen twins, but it did have Captain Picard and he has many more great meme moments! 1 Quote

Loghamel Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Tru sold 1385 of these yesterday and have 364 left in stock, all nationwide. Just a bit of info to be used as you please. Quote
brad4815 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Not sure if it's been discussed, but what is everyone's TRU pricing this at? I just picked up one from mine and the shelf price said $59.99 but it rings up $64.99. Quote
