fantomas007
I am sorry but Big ben is just a simple tower without any architecture bonus... there is a lot of towers around the world, this tower is just well known, but not very interesting building. If tower, then Pisa tower. But again, the most important factor is that TLG already made a set from London. I cannot imagine to make another London landmark, while there is a lot of much better and interesting landmarks from other parts of the world. If making another set from same country, then USA - much much stronger market than UK. If TLG makes new landmark every year, OK, we can see landmarks from same country, but not in this situation, when TLG has made just 5 landmarks during 16 years. Here is my list of most interesting buildings + reason why are better than Big Ben:Pyramids - 1 of classic 7 wonders and maybe most famous building from the earth. Of course, it is a simply building, but adding the Sphinx would be solve this problem. As an alternative can be Chichen Itza (but this would be better as an Architecture set).Colosseum in Rome - there is a big hole in TLG production - ancient antique - and this set can cover it. As an alternative can be Athens temple.Neuschwanstein castle - German is a strong market, so a german landmark makes sense + this fairytail castle could be easy one of the best lego sets ever. As a simplier alternative could be Brandenburg Gate.St. Basil cathedral from Moscow - again, this colorful and interesting building could be wonderful set.Burj al Arab from Dubai / Petronas towers from Kuala lumpur or other modern buildings, which looks great.
citymorgue
I think it would be cool to have a Big Ben Landmark set. I also have my reservations. I would love to see a castle or something along those lines from another country, instead of another London set. There are plenty of other iconic places that could be used.Of course, I'm curious, if this is true, are they just going to have a huge tower for the clock, or scale it down to include a part/rest of the building with it??? thecrapweasel
St. Basil cathedral from Moscow - again, this colorful and interesting building could be wonderful set.St Basil Cathedral would be INSANE to have. Take it to a new level with most pieces ever...they would almost have to with all that intricacy
legone3
+1 for St Basil. It will be beautiful in Lego. 5000 to 6000 pieces, $400.But it's a chuch, it's in Red square in Moscow. Not gonna happen. Edited October 22, 2015 by legone3

Not gonna happen.Yeah, probably never gonna happen. But it would be nice. But it's making me wonder... what if they made it, or some other landmark, next level of detail and complexity, and it was 10,000 pieces for $999? Completely unexpected and never done before. I wonder what kind of turnout that would have? I'd have to pick one up

g978
I don`t see the problem with another London Landmark. There have been five sets from five different countries. So they were bound to go to one of those countries again in time. London is the premier city of the world and is a very popular tourist destination. Tower Bridge has sold well for it to continue for 5 years. London has many landmarks so it is natural to come back to it again. I agree it would be good if they did a new set every 2 years as they are amongst my most popular sets.
Guest TabbyBoy
The most beautiful bridge in the World and the most beautiful parliament building in the World would make perfect companions. However, I'd love to see St Pancras station or Buck house. If it's another country, the Rome Colosseum gets my vote.
Migration
i can think of several challengers for the beautiful bridge title.

Prrrrr..come on.... there are too many other big or important countries in the world, which should have a lego set... For example Germany (bigger market than UK), China, Spain, Italy, etc, etc. Repeating the same country is acceptable only if 1) TLG is producing landmarks 100 years, 2) there are 2 fantastic landmarks in 1 country - and sorry, it is not situation of UK. Big ben is just simple tower with clocks - yes, well known, but nothing special, neither from visual nor from architectural point of view. Ciglione
The most beautiful buildings mostly are related to religion. Lego won't touch that subject. So I guess they will be out of ideas soon.
Val-E
They still have the Bilbao Guggenheim and Alhambra Palace to do in large scale..... Edited November 24, 2015 by valenciaeric
jaisonline
Wish they would do something in large scale from Roma / Rome or the US. Many diff non-religious tourist attractions especially in Roma.

Even if you ignore religious buildings, you can have for example: - Roman Colosseum - Pyramids + sfinx - Neuschwanstein castle - Burj al Arab or Petronas twin towers or other modern buildings - Pisa tower - Acropolis or Luxor temple (ancient greek and egyptian temples are now politicaly neutral, i hope) - Angkor wat - Hermitage / Kremlin - Piazza San Marco in Venice All much better than Big ben...

London is ranked number one top city for tourism and spending 5 times out of the last seven years (link) Saying that Germany has a bigger market than the UK based on population(?) doesn't give a true indication of what is popular, sells or being most iconic. While I agree that there are many world landmarks that would make great Architecture\Expert Creator sets disregarding Big Ben because it doesn't appeal to you doesn't necessarily reflect on public perception. Big Ben 21013 has been in production for 3.5 years now which would suggest that it moves numbers, same can be said for 21006 White House which has been going for close to 5 years. Parliament buildings like these are iconic the world over and make logical sense for Lego sets. "Big ben is just simple tower with clocks" Simple isn't a word I would use to explain the intricacies and detail of the Houses of Parliament

Rialto Bridge in Venice is the only one that springs to mind. A quick Google search for most beautiful bridges has Tower Bridge predominantly appearing in the top three. Golden Gate Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge would be difficult to interpret in Lego bricks because they're pretty plain in design. 10 hours ago, gregpj said: I can think of several challengers for the most beautiful parliament building as well. The only parliament building I would consider to be better looking architecturally speaking would be The Hungarian Parliament building, but is it more iconic? Would it sell as many sets? I'm sure Lego consider many factors when deciding which sets to put into production.
