You know, if TLC was smart, they'd scratch the UCS Falcon and give us a UCS AT-AT this fall. The combo would do me in for sure. By itself? I'm not such a snow speeder fan. But if there's an AT-AT??? ... TLC, please, yes, take my money.

Hell... I'd probably even get the ASSoH while I was at it and like almost everyone else, I pretty much loathe everything about that set from the box art on.

3/4's of the way through building this and like the build so far. Nice to have a new UCS set that isn't a play set.

My only bug bears are the flimsiness of the top airbrakes and the seemingly impossible task of getting the yoke & rear gun to centre properly.

Overall though, it's a beautiful display piece and a much better Star Wars day present than last year's effort (or lack of) from Lego.

I picked up the Snowspeeder yesterday, and have gone through bag 5.  The build is quite fun, its been a long time since I have built any Star Wars UCS sets.

Really like how they have 1 bag for each number, I'm not a pre-sorter builder, so this made things very simple.  My one complaint is the high number of stickers.  Some are tiny!

Look forward to completing the set tonight!

Sorting by pieces isn't that bad really.  I've done it over the past year or two with the UCS Imperial Shuttle, The Tumbler, and all the Indiana Jones sets.  I still have a bunch of others sort through, like UCS AT-ST, UCS R2-D2, Republic Dropship and AT-OT, and several others.  You get better at it the more times you have to do it.

Those stickers bring it down a couple of notches.  They really stand out compared to printed pieces and detract from the overall look.  And like someone else said, why not release the UCS AT-AT next?  Make it a 4,000 piece, $400 set and it will sell.

Well, I think UCS MF and UCS BB-8 are first, but yes, we need the AT-AT.

Don't forget the Star Wars tax. A 4,000 piece UCS SW set will either be $450 or $500.

Ugh.  I hate sorting by pieces and/or colors.  I prefer bags.  I did 10030 by pieces and colors, and that made me want to rip my hair out.

When I bricklinked 10179, everything was pretty much already sorted, and I have to tell you having over 5000 pieces in baggies spread out all over the damn place sucked!!!!!

I'm not at all opposed to the numbered bag system, because it makes it easy to start and stop on certain bags.  With the whole sorting thing, it can be a royal pain especially if you can't sit through it in one setting.  Also for me, having pets makes it difficult to just leave loose pieces out, so yeah, I would rather not go through that whole process again.

10212 was challenging as well, only in white.

Ordered mine on Saturday 29th and it arrived yesterday (4th May, heh heh). I think that's the fastest LEGO delivery I've had to date. Not bad considering I ordered on a Saturday, and Monday was a public holiday in the UK.

Have already built the R2-D2 polybag with my daughter, but haven't had time to build the speeder yet. Lovely box though! :O)

Yup and often the same part was in multiple bags. You had no choice but to open all the bags and start sorting eventually.

Nice video share @Pseudoty

jang's video's shows how just how much detail was paid to this model by lego. E.g. The underside, very small gaps when different angled plates come together.

My only 2 gripes are related : amount of stickers & the stickers used on the wings. I understand why they used stickers on the model.  Secondary, Lego white brick color is more like "arctic white" (aka off-white or dull white) used on car.  These stickers shouidn't have had bright white backgrounds as I doesn't match and the bricks will lose some of his brightness / fade over time to make then unintended contrast more. I attached a marker up picture.

nevertheless, this model is a winner in terms of design. I think 1-2 year demand of it at retail will be between the UCS Tie and Slave 1. Thus there a good chance we'll see it discounted online.  Doubt will it be discounted as much at the Tie but who knows...

Matter of lighting conditions, in real life those stickers aren't that noticeable, jang should have improve his lighting because some sets looks way too off in his reviews than in real life.
example is Jestro's Headquaters which looks in his video like pile of violet-gray turd. stealing away it's interesting appearance.
I've got one myself (30% off) and I can tell you that this model in real life looks completely different than in his review video.

Maybe I am alone here on this...maybe not, but after looking at my 10129 on my shelf for the last decade, I can safely say that this set does not excite me.  Sorry to be a Party Pooper.

I very much agree, the new one is certainly nice and all, but it just seems like a bigger normal set (as opposed to something extraordinary).

The UCS sets should at least have building quality/techniques that you would not find in a normal build (at least in my opinion).

That's because it looks pretty identical from a certain matter of view (distance in this case).  Like the UCS X-Wing remake before it, I don't see legit reasons for 10129 owners to buy this. Just add the minifig and sticker plaque down the road when prices fall considerably.

This Snow Speeder refresh isn't as differiating  as say the 75059 Sandcrawler to the 10144 one unless you go into the low level details .
