biking_tiger Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) It says that with EVERY promo. LEGO Shop at Home is down now. And the "they're so confused" I was referring to was LEGO Shop at Home, not anyone here. Sorry if I came across as an a$$hat. Edited October 14, 2015 by biking_tiger 1 Quote
Kenxxx Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 It's charging me the 9.99. StrangeWhen I was in store yesterday, it wouldn't ring properly there either. They just had to give me the promo and not scan them... (ducking under the ban-hammer radar once again). Quote
wsuskee Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 price down to $27 on the bay. I want lots of these so hears to hoping it keeps going down. Last year I know the christmas promos werent as good but I picked up plenty for as low as $12 shipped last year once the flood hit the market. Quote
10230 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Are there thoughts about whether the train or the gingerbread house later this year will be more valuable long-term? I am aware of double-VIP right now, but I am looking at spending points, so that doesn't play a role for me. Edited October 17, 2015 by 10230 Quote

It's more unique too. 1 Quote
hockeyweasel Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Someone post the perfect shipping box for these.I think they were from Staples. The 9x6x4 from Staples is working great for me. Quote
cladner Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I am astounded how substantial this freebie is. I can't imagine this doesn't get $25-30 for the rest of the year and $40-50 next year. combining that with the 10%ish double VIP discount, potentially a 40-50% discount depending on your hold period if you factor things this way. 1 Quote
exciter1 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I received my first one today with a TOO. Box smashed from the bubbles they put on top of it and smashed the box down on it. I'm sure it will still go for a good penny next year. Quote
cladner Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) luckily only 1 of the 4 I got today was smashed but that one's the lucky one who gets to live with us forever 2 out 9 Turkey Feast/Dinner order filler's were also squished. doc mcstuffin's duplos and the duplo "modular" play house - not a scratch. i think the duplo boxes are extra thick or something. Here's to hoping the trains and Thanksgiving Feasts will not come smashed. I will post the verdict when I receive them later today Quote

They were all ok. Quote
dustyshelf Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 My 5 feasts and 1 train came today, horribly smashed. The train was completely smooshed and my feasts were all creased out. Sadness. Quote
marcandre Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I just got a train with a ToO. A little dinged but barely worth mentioning.I am really impressed with the train. I expected the box to be the same size as last years promos. This thing is huge for a freebie! Feel the need to get a couple more. Started with a santas workshop/darth order and will hit the mall store later. Quote

Off topic but anyone ever notice how unusually thick and sturdy Pampers diaper boxes are? If you ever need to ship free weights or gold bars or something, those are the boxes to use. Quote
Emodular Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) is anyone able to add this to their brickfolio?Edit: Ooops. Nevermind. Edited October 19, 2015 by Emodular Quote

Brian Briggs Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 So far the Holiday Train commands a price of roughly 24€ shipped on German ebay. This is amazing considering the fact that you only have to spend 55€ to get this set. So a single Louvre, Winter Toy Shop or The Big Bang Theory is already sufficient to qualify for this promo. 1 Quote

DadsAFOL Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Still available on US site, and the last two seasonal vignettes are up. Limit 5 each. No more double VIP, but the train still makes it an excellent deal. 3 Quote
CrabslayerT Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Still waiting for my orders to arrive. I ordered on the first on the 22nd and no sign yet! Quote

Used VIP points so they were free and got another holiday train to boot. Edited November 1, 2015 by cladner 1 Quote
