stackables Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 If you have to choose between this and the Helicarrier, which $350 set would you go get? Quote
Alpinemaps Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I'm a bigger Ghostbusters fan, so it's this between the two. I've considered getting the Helicarrier, but I wasn't OMG Must Have This Now about the Helicarrier like I was GBHQ. 1 Quote
thegooch49 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 A swiss site has an un-boxing and 5 minute speed build of the new firehouse headquarters. It looks pretty darn cool! http://www.promobricks.de/lego-ghostbusters-feuerwehr-hauptquartier-75827-erstes-review-und-speed-build-video-erschienen/10877 7 Quote
jgschmieg3 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Anyone have a picture of this set next to the modulars? Quote
Deeker Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I am sold. A day one order and build for me. Looks amazing!!!!! Quote
Migration Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 That dude is really into Ghostbusters. Set looks cool. Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 anyone thinking of mod'ing it into more a modular design Quote
Pseudoty Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 That thing swallows the Ecto - 1. In comparison Quote
Brian Briggs Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I'd love to buy this set on release day but will probably postpone the purchase due to my December shopping spree. 1 Quote
areyounormal Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) review from youtube http://youtu.be/GLLfievNgVA I am really surprised at how unfinished the rear of the set looks, you can see it around the 21 minute mark - unless I am missing something... oneknightr Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 The back of the firehouse is god awful. I also don't like that it's only hinged on the first floor and that the baseplate doesn't split when opening the sides. I think it'll be a pass for me. Will have to confirm when it's displayed at the brick and mortar. Quote
supergman Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I love this for the purpose of going in the town/city that my family and I always build and update. However, if the purported back actually looks like that, I think it's terrible and the hinge makes no sense. I'd like to know the purpose of that decision. I will buy one regardless, but do hope that those "issues" aren't necessarily the case. Just seem odd. Quote
micbelt Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I was at the Lego store in arundel mills this past weekend and they have this and the brick bank in stock. They were not on the floor but they brought them out and let us see the boxes and man do they both look awesome. I would be surprised if this is not incredibly popular. It looks great and the minifigures look awesome. Quote
marcandre Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I like it but wow the back looks terrible. Some odd choices back there. Regardless I think it's a winner. Quote
inversion Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Going all out and doing a back like that is a poor decision. I thought it might be because a building connects there and there is no real back, but...https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@40.7194173,-74.0068717,3a,75y,74.22h,103.74t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sqKA4ICLYossy48mJudJZug!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1 7 Quote

TheOrcKing Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 So now we are complaining about how the backside of the set looks....the area when on display is typically up against a wall nobody sees or cares about. 2 Quote
