dcdfan
I guess there's your new modular announcement folks. See below the sentence now in bold... From The Brick Fan: LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) Rumored for January 2016 Posted on September 18, 2015 by Allen "Tormentalous" Tran There’s some huge news/rumors coming from Just2Good this morning. He has noted that there are some “very reliable sources” saying that we’ll be getting a direct-to-consumer LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) on January 1, 2016. The set will be over 4,600 pieces and retail at $350. The set will be able to open up to see the interior details and such. J2G also mentioned that this set will be based on the original Ghostbusters films and not for the upcoming movie with the female crew. Finally, he mentions there will be a modular set planned for next near and the the firehouse isn’t a replacement for it. As we all know by now, there have been some Ghostbusters Firehouse sets that weren’t approved to become official sets on LEGO Ideas but we did get the LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108). Additionally, we are also getting some LEGO Dimensions expansion packs so we do know that LEGO does have a license to create Ghostbusters products. Again, this is all speculation but Just2Good has proven that he is a reliable source of upcoming sets. If you’ve been holding off on getting the LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108), I suggest you pick one up soon to go along with the new LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) since he didn’t mention the set coming with one. Sound off in the comments if you’re getting one if it actually becomes a set. Note: The image above is not the set. It is from Brent Waller when he provided the instructions for his version of the firehouse. - See more at: http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-ghostbusters-firehouse-headquarters-75827-rumored-for-january-2016/#sthash.8MrJQFLl.dpuf Edited September 18, 2015 by dcdfan

Val-E
Really hope this is true and they are not remaking 10197! Hopefully there will be another new modular along too.

exciter1
I'd be pissed if that was $350... Here's OrionPax's version, which would be much more viable at that price point.
gregpj
I was going to post it that way, but then I could have just made that URL up. Wouldn't have stuck though... when you make up a URL under that sub folder it will put up a generic not found page instead of the product not available page. ie. http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Death-Star-III-10888 isn't valid even though it's a well-formed URL.
Darth_Raichu
I am pretty sure Ecto-2 was a helicopter in the cartoon series

Darth_Raichu
A lame helicopter... https://www.google.com/search?q=ecto+2+helicopter The city advent calendars come with nicer ones. At least the toy had a handle for swooshing and trigger for rotating blades actions I think a "Holy Crap!" is appropriate here. I had no idea... I was into the Ghostbusters cartoon and comic books way back when. I actually had no idea those were based on movies until much later The cartoon Egon looked nothing like his movie counterpart
Ciglione
The one and only thing that interests me is if it comes with an Ecto-1 or not. In the one this person is selling it is not included. http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/kinderen-en-baby-s/speelgoed-duplo-en-lego/m963899502-lego-modulars-custom-ghostbusters-hq.html?c=8c285449651fa109c354bbabe740c1b&previousPage=lr
bricketycricket
I'll actually be kinda annoyed if they make this. Of all the popular licenses Lego has access to, they choose Ghostbusters to make a 4600 piece set?

Watched the movies in the theater, was starting Jr. High when the cartoon was on.
Alpinemaps
I am pretty sure Ecto-2 was a helicopter in the cartoon seriesAnd that's why in Ghostbusters 2, the car was "Ecto-1A."
