Guest TabbyBoy Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Are you talking Dolphins or FBs? Sorry, I went off-track. Dolphins. FBs at that price would've sold even before listing! Quote
CNH1974 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I found an FB in a dented box (seals intact) in John Lewis last night (never seen them instore before) so it may have been a return. However, I offered Quote

spener90 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Hello, From Brickset, it is EOL. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=10197-1 Yannick Brickset judges end of line based on whether it is sold out or not. It isn't always accurate. 1 Quote
yannick29 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Brickset judges end of line based on whether it is sold out or not. It isn't always accurate. OK, How do y ou make the difference finally ? I thought sold out and EOL are same. Yannick Quote
marcandre Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I just ordered one from Target. Only place I could find it online for retail price. My first one Quote
comicblast Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 OK, How do y ou make the difference finally ? I thought sold out and EOL are same. Yannick Sold out sets can be replenished. It just means that LEGO hasn't produced enough of the set to meet demand. EOL=End of Line = LEGO is not going to produce any more of that set. It can be distinguished when LEGO changes the status to retired. 1 Quote
MartinP Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 OK, How do y ou make the difference finally ? I thought sold out and EOL are same. Yannick Sold out means that there could be more made due to the insufficient supply of sets and EOL is when Lego stops making a set completely. You can tell if the set is retired by seeing if they still sell it at LEGO Shop at Home. Quote
M4x18 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Sold out in LEGO Shop at Home ES. It does look as EOL'd. Quote
MartinP Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Sold out in LEGO Shop at Home ES. It does look as EOL'd. It is appearing sold out in other countries as well. Does anyone know if this is the first time the FB has been sold out? Quote
M4x18 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 It's gone from DE, UK, BE, IT and ES LEGO Shop at Home, just picked random EU stores. It does not have and expected ship date or a back in stock date. Quote
CNH1974 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 It vanishing from all the stores mentioned above "suggests" EOL - or that they have not produced enough for the Christmas rush (like Sopwith Camel last year). For the first time on Ebay UK NISB auctions are finishing above RRP; two went for Quote
Alcarin Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Fire Brigade will be the ultimate test for Modulars..... I wonder how long (if ever) will it take for FB to reach 250-280$ which would for me be a sign that it is successful investment Quote
marcandre Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Target is out of stock online. Glad I grabbed one Quote
abri123 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I think it is EOL, to coincide with the launch of the Parisian Cafe on January 1st Quote
rcdb1984 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I think it is EOL, to coincide with the launch of the Parisian Cafe on January 1st just like tower bridge? Quote
abri123 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 just like tower bridge? Tower Bridge is still available now from Lego, whereas Fire Brigade is sold out on most. Think Tower Bridge still has some legs in it yet. 1 Quote
