zskid00
They look terribly bland for the Star Wars universe, but I guess that's accurate to the source material.
thoroakenfelder
I was thinking today of the absolute certainty that has gripped many people that LEGO would never put out 3 X-Wings at the same time. It suddenly made me wonder where this certainty came from. Just because they haven't doesn't mean they won't. Look at Super Heroes, in Marvel, there's 2 fairly similar Quinjets and an Avenjet. In DC there's 3 sets with a batmobile in it. That's 6 current sets with 2 vehicles in different versions. Sure, there's not a ton of different things that they are willing to do for super heroes, but if that doesn't prove that they'd be more than willing to triple dip on a licensed theme, I don't know what might persuade you. fossilrock
I'm actually pretty hyped for Rogue One, especially after seeing the trailer. I'm positive after seeing the Force Awakens on opening day, and from what i'm seeing for Rogue One and for Ep 8, that we are back in a golden age reminiscent of that time when I was a kid during the late 70's - early 80's. Sure the movies have some flaws, but they are fun again, and it's hard to whip rotten tomatoes at these, because Disney seems to be doing the series a little justice now, and I don't think i'd have ever felt that would happen when they bought out Lucas. I find myself devouring star wars information as it comes out. Those minifigs look great by the way. To me the revealing of those 5 sets is all I care about from Lego at this point. I'll probably buy every one.

There were just too many deals. With this upcoming wave, im sure i'll buy up a few on opening day, at least the more interesting ones. I just have a feeling this wave is going to be the highlight of the year, in terms of lego sets. I also suspect many of the sets will have a newness to them, unlike the majority of the Force Awakens sets. I'm sure all the mini's shown here will be scattered across those 5 sets. It's just right now, i'm in a lull with lego purchases. I have no more interest in stocking up on anymore jurassic world, scooby doo, or architecture. While, i'd like a few more creator sets, they can wait until later in the year. And I have little interest in many of the new lines. That leaves Rogue One sets. But there is still 5 more months before they come out, so it will be a bit.

exciter1
Force Friday (9/30/16) news is starting to hit. Here is the rumored 6" Black Series assortment. "Rogue One" will be prominent in this promotion, so I expect to hear some LEGO news soon. The figures will be (via Jedi News), Rey / BB-8 (Re-Pack) Kylo Ren (new mould) Rogue One: Jyn Erso Rogue One: Stormtrooper Medical Droid (could be the Alan Tudyk motion cap character) Rogue One: "Seal Team Male" - Forest Whitaker's character.

I sold all of my Boba Fett's last year along with the select few wave 1 figures I had. I sold my Bespin Luke FBM a couple weeks ago for a nice price. The Han/Greedo 2-pack is doing alright along with the Han/Tauntaun if you picked them up on clearance. I have a Jedi Luke, Yoda, and a couple OT Hans that I'm thinking of selling soon with all the bootlegs hitting the market.

I found some more Boba Fett's buried in my collection I must have picked up in the wild. Luckily, I sold my large stash from the blowout during the holidays. Not sure what I'm going to do with those yet. I still have my concept Boba Fett's stashed away, so it might be time to offload them. I did pick-up several Han & Tauntaun from Gamestop when they were clearancing those.

I think the "stormtrooper" is actually the Deathtrooper, which is Vaders special forces group of Stormtroopers. That figure will be given out at the SDCC in July, as well. I saw another list a month ago on jeditemplearchive that said there will be two waves released during the Force Friday. 8 Rogue One figures were in these waves, and the one's mentioned here were part of that (Jyn Erso, and Forest Whittakers character), along with the Deathtrooper, and a Proxy Droid. The list went on to also state the Grand Admiral (he was also seen at the toyfair in nuremberg to certain people), the a Rebels Medic Droid, Weng Jen's character who is a weapons specialist, and a Scarabtrooper would round out the first two cases that will be before the film is released, then more lines will be revealed. They didn't mention the Kylo or Rey figure, but I wouldn't doubt that. I'm sure they'll mix prequel, OT, and Force Awakens figures in these waves, like shown here.. There's also a New Hope Princess Leia, ESB At-At Driver, ESB Snowtrooper, Rebels Sabine, Force Awakens C3PO (with Red Arm) and a EU Darth Raven coming out sometime soon. I think those are the last of the Red box series of black figures, and we should see those in summer to early fall. Battrax
I'm a bit surprised we haven't heard a peep about a new Star Destroyer (the double decker First Order one). I still have a few 75055 whose fate is still in the balance...

Cheese
Brickset details for 75144 the rumoured UCS Snowspeeder have been updated. No longer says UCS and 'Set type' now reads Normal. Maybe reaction following backlash from Assault on Hoth.

Fenix_2k1
According to most rumours there'll be an At-St in the Force Friday Sets. But might be based on rogue one and use different colours/design to original.

fossilrock
Maybe they finally decided to drop the UCS label for good and simply label everything under the Star Wars label to ease the pain and suffering of AFOOL's* from around the world.*AFOOL's (Adult Fans Obsessively Ostracizing Lego)
