Assuming you paid $10 plus tax and selling for $20 shipped on ebay leaves about $2 in profits after fees and shipping and materials. I can see these being useful for getting your 25 sales on amazon and taking a loss, but how are people making money on this this year? My local LEGO store had them in stock till about a week ago so I was getting 2x vip and holiday sets. Also there was a spike in price around the 2nd week of October which was really nice. And then selling them on the local exchanges/Craigslist for $35, bundled with $4 TRU Bats. No fees, no shipping. Edit: And I am the same way. When I buy something with points, it goes on the spreadsheet as $0.00 cost. Same with a train. The item I buy to actually get those points or promos are entered for the price on the receipt, plus it's share of the taxes.
