jay4e Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 List from 2016 rumors on hothbricks 40122 Trick or Treat 40123 Thanksgiving Feast 40124 Winter Fun 40125 Santa's Visit 40138 Christmas Train 40139 Gingerbread House 40140 Flower Wagon 40141 Bricktober Hotel 40142 Bricktober Train Station 40143 Bricktober Bakery 40144 Bricktober Toys R Us Store Most are predictable, but Christmas Train 40138 and Gingerbread House 40139 are Interesting. Given the numbering these could be mini builds (4013X), though that would put the christmas train in Jan?, or promo polys (like 40140) and the mini builds are only planed through dec? Also more bricktober mini modulars. 7 Quote
Alpinemaps Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I liked the Bricktober sets and have a set on my desk at work. I'm actually pretty happy to see them continue the line. I do find it funny though because my Toys R Us' still have them in stock. Quote
hockeyweasel Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 The numbering for 40138 Christmas Train and 40139 Gingerbread House are indicative of the monthly mini-build series (see June 40131 Parrot; july 40132 Whale; August 40133 Kangaroo) though these would make them the builds for January and February, which seems a little late. Or, are these the Brick Wall sets? Quote
thegooch49 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 The Brick Fan has some early images of the two Christmas sets up. These are Winter Fun (40124) and Santa’s Visit (40125). This is apparently an image from the back of the instruction book on the upcoming Thanksgiving set. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-seasonal-christmas-2015-sets-revealed/ Quote
bricketycricket Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Santa's visit is cool but these front door sets are really unimaginative. 1 Quote
gregpj Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Somebody mixed up the green and yellow lights on the light standard, errr, xmas tree in Santa's Visit. And how come they went back to the old fashioned 10199 Toy Workshop wreath instead of the new and improved 10249 wreath! Quote

HandyHand Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 So, out of curiosity: which seasonal set would be more valuable in the future? The 40138 Holiday Train or the 40139 Gingerbread House ? Quote

zskid00 Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Sell them now and do something else with that money. Otherwise you will need to wait an entire year for the value to go up which is not guaranteed. I always flip promos like they're hotcakes. I don't invest in them. 3 Quote
wsuskee Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 They are easy to store and ship so I actually buy them up as cheap as possible now and then flip them the next year for a profit of 10 to 15 each. Quote
longshot Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 These seem to be around $25 w free shipping. Is it better to flip these this year or wait til next season. Quote

Have to find them by item #. I am guessing their search index is hosed. they do not show up under "whats new" either, but they are both tagged with seasonal and new. would also explain why their search keeps redirecting back to the home page... either way grabbed 5 of each because i am not sure these will last till the gingerbread house. though with the search issues they just might.... Loghamel Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Sorry if this has been asked; on Black Friday, if my LEGO store has Holiday Trains remaining, will $100 buy get me a train and a gingerbread house? Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 all depends on your store. worth trying since you'll be there Quote

Technically, the promotion ends November 13. But it doesn't hurt to ask. Quote
