inversion Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Hell yeah. It seems that LEGO is beginning to make Technic flagships being targeted at AFOLs. I welcome it, a return to my roots. My first sets were large Technic ones, being a 5 years old. Skipped Duplo and SYSTEM entirely. My friends were building LEGO Town police cars while I was assembling this: Probably my all time favorite set, of course mainly for emotional reasons, but not like it would not stand the test of time. Does this mean that 42030 will be gone soon to make space for 42055 and 42056? Quote
Val-E Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I doubt it but some other poor selling 2015 sets may go in the summer. Quote

The last couple of years have only produced 1 or 2 a year that I've been really interested in, and Lego is getting a little ridiculous. There's already like 3 from recent releases, and then just about everything on that list is going to have to be a buy for me. DAMN YOU LEGO!!!! DAMNS YOU ALL TO HELL!!!! *pounds sand* Quote

Crustybeaver Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) WOW that looks like an insane build. The box must be huge! You can see the white dump truck on the box design behind the set Edited January 26, 2016 by Crustybeaver Quote
tractorboy Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Woah! That's a monster. Kinda ugly, but still... So if this is the £179.99 set, what's the £249.99 42056 gonna look like? Edited January 26, 2016 by tractorboy Quote
Crustybeaver Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Are we sure this is priced at £179.99? Looks more a £249.99 set to me. If 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator is the largest set ever at over 3000 pieces then that would mean that 42056 Confidential Technic Ultramotive has less pieces but priced at considerably more. Unless this is a rather expensive contract tie-in I suspect these prices are quoted incorrectly. Edited January 26, 2016 by Crustybeaver Quote

Price per piece is such a wrong metric.... Quote

So by that principle you're suggesting that the car has considerably more motors? Judging by the photo of the Bucket Wheel Excavator it looks like it's got plenty of pneumatics and motors Quote

The piping belongs to the VOLVO EW behind it. And yes, I am saying that the car will have several motors. Quote
