justapilgrim Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Netflix announced 2 new lego shows, is this one? Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 With the new images I've seen (actually just one new image!) I'm at least slightly interested in the minifigs! At least Jestro looks pretty cool! I have to admit it does not look half as bad without that mecha horse. So the main good guy is charging with a lance like weapon while on foot? Sure.. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Like a handful of comments over on Brickset have stated, this does seem to have a lot in common with Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light. 1 Quote
Alpinemaps Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I'm okay on passing on this for investment. And I'll be okay if anyone makes a killing, investment wise on this. 2 Quote
tacsniper Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Looks kinda cool. If the story line is a hit, I can see kids begging their parents for a set whenever they go into a store that sells Lego. But then which kid doesn't beg for a Lego set regardless of what it is :P.The poster reminds me of the marines/firebats in Starcraft. Hopefully MOCers can take advantage of this theme to better replicate of these sci-fi video game scenes. Quote
Locutus001 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Netflix announced 2 new lego shows, is this one?Probably yes as it is stated somewhere that they'll do a own TV show for this (and other stuff...)... I mean it is the new placeholder for LEGO Chima Quote
jaisonline Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 and now we know why the last castle theme had a short retail life. nexo knights looks like another regular castle theme but with flying shield-boards, mixels, demons and mean clowns. kids might like it. investers and AFOLs will stay far away (unless elements are needed from the sets). With the new images I've seen (actually just one new image!) I'm at least slightly interested in the minifigs! At least Jestro looks pretty cool! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Here is a higher resolution of the poster giving a better chance to zoom in and see all the little details. So many new elements, characters, and other things not yet seen could only come from some intelligibly crafty "outside the box" designers. Like Ninjago, it's sticking around for a while. Quote
hendrikdejager Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) Does this mean that the Blue/Red Jester Hat is coming back? This is a very expensive item on Bricklink due to it being in the Grand Carousel. It was in the first Winter Toy Shop and when Lego re-released this set they changed it to Orange / Blue. Almost seems on purpose. Edited October 2, 2015 by hendrikdejager Quote

Alpinemaps Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 well Jestro's version looks more red/purple with stains on it... so maybe for a creepy carousel? ;-)It also has "turned up" horns instead of down. So, who knows.I'd love to see this piece come back, though. Quote
BrickLegacy Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Like a handful of comments over on Brickset have stated, this does seem to have a lot in common with Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light. You just restored my childhood. Thank you. 1 Quote
nolanfan34 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 My son walked in my office right when I was looking at the poster image. He's 7. Thought they looked cool, and commented right away on the armor and shield pieces being must haves. His 12 year old cousin agreed. So yeah, standing by my current guess, will probably end up with most of these but not for investment. (I didn't see the other images posted that were taken down). Quote
TheOrcKing Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 Nexo Knights officially revealed at the New York Comic-Con 2015. Quote
Ed Mack Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Pretty cool stuff. I wish I had that when I was a kid. 2 Quote
Huskers1236 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Pretty cool stuff. I wish I had that when I was a kid.Classic space FTW. Why do most of the characters look like mouth breathers? I will say that faceted piece on the nose of the horse will be a nice addition for MOC'rs. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Those actually look pretty good. The horse air scooter / jet horse? thingy looks much better than the mecha horse. I can see the potential, although the sets look like LEGO's attempt to capture Imaginext's market share Quote

Alpinemaps Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 So that's only slightly better than I expected. The red set above, that kinda looks like a catapult maybe? That looks intriguing. The jester is a must have for me. He's spooky. I also like the smiling mini figure head and the little robot? minifig head. Quote
matt1147 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Meh - props for creativity but at first glance, I'll pass on all these. I'll be interested to see what my kids think of them Quote
biking_tiger Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Definitely targeted for the kids, but should be a good parts harvest for MOCs and what-not on clearance.Because, let's face it, they'll be on clearance in a Chima minute. 1 Quote
BrickStanley74 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Looks like a hurriedly thought out jumble of themes. I am not even remotely interested in any of these sets, and I don't think my kids will be either. Complete pass for me, which means more funds towards Exclusives 1 Quote
lobo1969 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 There is Warhammer 40K vibe for me but toned down for children Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 To be fair, the body / armor piece of the Bull / yellow guy looks interesting, a very nice way to "bulk up" your minifig 1 Quote
