Found a newly opened box sitting in the deserted corner of a department store. Perfect time to smoosh so I put the wife to work and we were able to grab 27 of the figures that are three/four to a box. Should be able to make a few more sets now.

Does anyone know of a company that sells that round clear seals?  I have one that's cut and one that half hanging off, I know the box is good but would be nice not to have to explain the above when I finally sell it!

While I am a little disappointed.  It is not with you (or your company), just my luck.  after my post several people here have bought from you and reported "correct" distribution. My cases were probably just mis packed at Lego. New employee, someone distracted while packing or some other little hiccup is likely the reason for the "weird" distribution.  I appriciate the offer of returning the cases but I still got a great deal without running all around town.  Life isn't perfect and stuff happens.  thanks again for addressing my issue and standing behind your sale.

Thank you for your understanding in the matter! Of course, we do want to take responsibility for the products that we sell, regardless of who is at fault. If you change your mind, just message Linda in our eBay contact center and she will take care of a return or exchange for you.

The angle the pic was taken at makes it look like it was installed crooked.

it's not the angle of the picture, I live on a hill. It's horrible trying to display sets like Ecto-1, something strange keeps making it roll off the shelf! :derisive:

finally got around to opening the last two boxes. ANd things went much better.  Both had the "expected" numbers.

How is this series 'sold out' already? While there are still tons of S12/13 kicking around? Is it like this every year, the halloween theme set just get a seasonal run?

Series 13 sold out at LEGO Shop at Home relatively quickly, but it takes longer to matriculate through physical retail. I frequent one WM which will probably get series 14 in November.

People please dont compare these to 12 or 13.  Series 12 was a bust as was 6 I think it was.  Series 13 went rather quick in my area until series 14 was released and now everyone is bringing out new boxes of 13.

As for the Haunted House comment its not if but when the next one will come around.  Just take a look at the new club junior magazine as they have a spooky house in there as a background but its not the normal digital background and it says at the bottom series 14 does not include the spooky house.

I would put good money that by Halloween 2017 we have a new yet not as cool Haunted House.

I am bitter that I got back into Lego as the Haunted House was being retired.  Halloween is my favorite holiday hands down and I would love to have one to display around the holiday.  I just cant bit the bullet and drop 400+ for something for myself.

The toy shop reissue was a nice surprise for me as I didnt want to fork out the money for the 1st one but I was tired of my daughter asking for it.  While I dont see a true reissue, I can only dream, I do see the Disney Haunted Mansion being made into Lego in time.

I don't know if this is the case in other areas, but Series 13 is mostly gone in my area. At most, you may find a few of the 5 per case figures on the pegs at walgreens, but that's about it.  i've pretty much cleared the heck out of Series 13 and collected a few sets from multiple walgreen stores.  Simpsons series 2 hasn't even made it to walgreens, and already seems to be gone from all but a few targets.  I'd be shocked if I see them there, but I have managed to get my share of those at target and walmart this summer.  At walgreens, they seemed to have skipped the Simpsons and went straight to Series 14.  Problem is that it took until August to clear out Series 12, and so that probably backed things up considerably.  So, that leaves me to wonder if the Simpsons 2 line isn't as heavily produced.  It seemed to only be around from May until late last month, and now it's pretty much dried up.  Series 13 seemed to be heavily produced, and series 12 was definitely produced in droves.  Series 12 really didn't start to go dry until late August, and it seemed like it was neck-in-neck with Series 13 and the Simpsons 2 line in terms of bowing out. I suspect we will see Series 14 into early next year, even if it's gone from lego.com.   Although, I think once November hits, and Halloween is in the past, this line could start disappearing until that rumored Disney series hits.  The Disney series will probably also be highly popular and have some gold in it.

I see Simpsons all over the place.  Meijers has them and targets had them to around the Oakland County area of Michigan.  Even the Five Below store still has them.  I see very few monsters - only at TRU and one target.  I would not take the lack of them in your area as a sign of production numbers.  Sounds like the Simpsons had the same stocking issue that Monsters is having now around here.

At LEGOLAND California, at one point they had Series 12, 13 and Simpsons Series 1 out. They had so many Simpsons Series 1, they lasted a year there. I want to say they had both Series 1 and Series 2 available.

They did better this time and ordered a lot less Series 2. They are gone and they only have Series 14 in stock now.

Quick question, are all of you receiving their series 14 cases opening them to check the distribution and selling them by whole series ( the 16 minifigures) or keeping

the cases sealed to sell them in the future by the case ?

mmm, I have 6 cases that came from a lego distributor, but some seals look loose , as if they  were opened... and I am not sure I want to crack them open to

check .... I guess I will check one.....  besides it is not like there is a special minifigure like Mr Gold... Right?

Out of the 30 cases I've had, 9 have been sealed properly... I haven't had any problems with the the ones I've smooshed that have loose seals.
