Maybe this has been discussed before but I am kind of surprised how hot to trot we are about these minifigs considering how the MF line hasn't performed that great. You'd maybe think people would be a little more hesitant...

if by MF you mean monster fighters? It has, hh doing very well, vc is on uptick even with hard discounts, and zombies needs no explanation, the other polybags and keychains are doing well also. If by MF you mean minifigs, it depends on which ones. Series 10 did well, especially with Mr. gold. All previous sealed cases are more than they were original msrp.

Yeah I was referring to the monster fighter line. I know HH and zombies have performed well but the rest are just starting to pick up steam 2yrs after retirement. I love both the MF and the CMF monster lines because I'm a huge fan of Halloween. I'm just a little surprised how the majority here have been all over these CMFs from the history of the slow performance of the MF line.

@MinifiguresPlus

What happens when the time purchased passes 30 days? This will happen in 7 days for me.

How do you handle this so I am still protected for my purchase.

Well, the latest news is that these should begin shipping as early as Monday or Tuesday next week! However, also note that if an order does ever go over the 30 day mark on eBay, a case can still be opened with eBay (not PayPal) which often still has jurisdiction to pull funds from the PayPal account of the seller (or worst case scenario, eBay will refund the buyer).

Minor issue: I stated earlier that I had accepted "MF+" offer for refund on my sealed case (I had purchased with ebay gift cards), and it was refunded in full to my paypal account. Wrong.  Looking at my paypal account today, it appears it has all been transferred back to the original gift cards (must have been a "lag" in the system to get things caught up). Not a big deal... just wanted to clear that up.

Same experience as well.  My Ebay gift cards appear to have reloaded without issue, so no problem.  Minifig+ was very responsive in the cancellation and refund.

Ditto re: minifigures+.  I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on whether it will be more profitable (whenever the time comes to sell) to parse out the case and sell the minifigs individually or to sell the whole thing as a sealed case. I'm undecided. Please weigh in.

 Around $195

was your distribution the same if it was a sealed case?  3 complete sets plus extras?

right now it aint worth selling cause you wont make a profit if youre buying at retail.  Sets are selling for a mere $80 and once fees and shipping is subtracted you practically break even.  With the word that these will be everywhere soon sales might not be good until EOL ..

Yes, I agree.  Sorry if I was unclear.  My question was: when it comes time to sell, will it be more profitable to parse out the figures or sell a sealed case?  I'm talking about post-EOL. Just curious what people think

I picked up 10 more figures the other day, just getting more of the 3x figures, some Zombie businessmen, cheerleader, tiger lady, specter and banshee. I ran out of time,sothat's why I only came away with 10. It felt like more than 5 Scientists and pirates, so I think it must have been a couple cases on the pegs. I was mainly trying to find cheerleaders.

Don't know if anyone is actually doing any research before they buy thousands, but these have hit the retail outlets by the thousands in most local areas.  If this is your first venture into the minifigure line, just be warned, that this isn't like SW UCS sets.  You're going to be waiting for a long time to make cash.  That ship of flipping these has already sailed.  The more people in the game, the longer the wait will be, and the mere pennies you make on a figure.   Already, a lot of the 5 per case figures have hit the .40 cent mark, which at that point makes it unprofitable for those buying at retail.   A week ago, I was selling a figure every hour it seemed and making almost 2x on figures like the fly, and spectre after fees but that hasn't happened since they came back in stock throughout the retail outlets..  So unless you are willing to undercut and race to the bottom there isn't any meat on the bone.  The good thing is, these have mostly short retail lives of about a year, so by next october, those prices could near 2x again, but that's a big maybe.  But I do think it's smart to at least have some complete sets.

Went back to the same Target this week and they definitely put more out.  Had no trouble finding a handful of favorites.  Last week I estimate they had 1/2 a case.  Today looked like a full case.  This Target put them out individually on a generic endcap hanger.  I was able to find complete sets.  I don't think these are hard to find anymore in stores, and will be able to get my fill easily.

There's not many stores here that have these in stock.  The Lego store here had none today and said they disappear in 2 days or less when they do get them in.
