They don't seem to have a limit on them, I wonder if they would just break down and start sending cases to speed things up if you ordered a bunch.

They more than likely have a giant bin filled with thousands.  That's how you will be getting it.  From the guy that is forced to count 60 of them from that giant bin.  Plus, Toys R Us is smarter than that.  They would sell cases, if it came down to it.  Your best bet for a case is going to a local TRU and asking the manager if 1. they have any full sealed cases in stock.  2. Asking to buy it by giving the story that you are a collector and you like sealed cases.

Very true. I ordered 18 Series 5 Mixels (2 complete sets), and they shipped 18 separate envelopes.

when Gallimimus Traps were up with no limit I ordered 900. No sealed cases of those and came from multiple locations and wrong products as well in 20-30 shipments.  Was getting bubble mailers with 1 for days.   Wouldn't doubt you would have the same problem.  Someone was told they are a "bulk" item and subsitutions can occur which is what happened as we all know.

Just think the odds of you getting a sealed case are almost 0.

It was sort of exciting for a few days... like LEGO roulette.

I agree - there are two TRU in my city.  East side store manager says "sure, you can buy a sealed box. I'll just ring you up for 60 of them and you can take the box."  West side store manager says "absolutely not. I DO NOT sell them by the box. You can only buy individual figures."

I use ALL CAPS because of the way the timber of her voice changed during that moment in her response...

I can't seem to get a hold of the cheerleader. Only one left for me to get a complete set. I'm not a smoosher but had pretty good luck with the bump codes on the packages. Only problem is I thought the gargoyle was the cheerleader so have 3 of those now. Only place near me with these has been Target.

Same here.  Scored the spectres I needed today and an extra gargoyle, but no luck on the cheerleaders.

Just finished my 4th and 5th sets, piecing together 6 to keep

Will be fun to see what happens

I'm working on the same atm. I found a fresh box at WM, I need a total of 22 extra minifigs to complete six sets. I only found 19 of what I needed. If my smooshing is a 100%, I still need 2 flies and a werewolf. Someone picked those 3 clean before I got there.
