I'm not sure what to make of that inventory number I posted. I'm thinking 4-5boxes per store seems pretty reasonable. It's not a shortage or an abundance. Could it be just one big run since it is a seasonal theme? This location also only had one box in store so maybe Lego is trying to control how much is released at a time. Kind of like the walmart by me, they seem to have put out 4 raptor escapes at a time over the past few weeks.

I would like to thank Jon from Minifigures Plus for responding with images of what we should expect.  I for one will keep my order as it was.  I might even buy more.  Having a sealed box of these sets mean very little difference (if any) if the sets will arrive in a LEGO shipping box as shown above.  This is not the Mr. Gold Series 10 CMF sealed box which could mean something.  These figures will be worth more broken down anyway, so there is no real reason not to buy it.  I also get the feeling these might be hard to come by very soon, so cancelling the order is risky IMO.

Ed,

ditto.  I exchanged eBay messages with Minifigs Plus about my order and was even able to increase it by 1 box :)

top notch customer service

I disagree. These generic bones most resemble a human femur. The head sticks out way more than that of a humerus, and the greater trochanter is more pronounced than the greater tubercle of a humerus. The condyles are more like the generic shape compared to the epicondyles of a humerus. Plus the trochlea and capitulum on the distal end of the humerus give it a weird shape that isn't two nicely rounded projections like the femoral condyles. It's a leg bone. (I think it could even possibly resemble a metacarpal, but that would be one big creature eaten by the werewolf so I'm going with leg bone.)

I agree that a metacarpal is a ludicrous suggestion. I mean, let's keep things in perspective here...

For me if production is the same as the last series these will disappear from most places by next month.

I still see Series 13 here and there at TRU and other places.  I could probably find a complete set if I was so inclined.

I do agree that since it's early in the release these will be a little hard to find at first.  I saw around 15-20 at my local TRU yesterday, and today they were all gone.

However, my local Lego store is good about rationing them out and keeping a decent  stock at any given time.  I went on Sept 1st and they had plenty late in the day (after work hours).  I was the only one who seemed interested in them.

Later, in about a month, l expect to see 3 to 4 boxes at places like 5 Below.

Local Lego store received 4 boxes and had them out Sept. 1st.  They sold out in 5 days from what the employee told me.  It sounded like that was a low number of boxes from what they usually get for a new release.  He was confident they will be getting more in, but he wasn't sure when exactly.  I was casually chatting with him in the store and I didn't want to trouble him to check his computer.  He seemed kind of busy at that moment helping some customers.

Bought close to a full box of figs at TRU.  They said they didn't have a sealed one so I just took the risk and got the box.  Just started opening the figs, so far 2 frankensteins and 2 pirates.  I am afraid to open the rest.  Totally thinking of smooshing the rest and hoping to complete the 3 sets and taking the rest back.

Make that 9 packs opened and 4 frankensteins already.

Three Targets near me.  Each with their own quirks when it comes to this release of minifigures:

Store #1 - Has the figures behind the desk at electronics (obvious place to buy your LEGO).  You are allowed only four of them, and you can't touch them.

Store #2 - I asked on Sept 1st, seeing on the stock tracker that they had plenty in stock.  The nice employee informed me that the new minifigures were Star Wars and they couldn't put them out until the 4th.  I explained that they were not Star Wars, and he assured me that all of the new Lego was Star Wars.  Now it is 9/7, they still have the same count in the stock tracker and not a figure on the shelf.

Store #3 - Their stock was at 90ish on Saturday but only 15-20 Simpson figures could be found.  I asked a nice associate about them and politely shared that the # was the same as the Simpson figures but asked if he could check if they had any of the new series in stock (sharing the # with him).  He checked and saw the same high count that I'd seen on the stock tracker. After walking up and down the Lego isle, he came upon the Simpson figures and told me he found them....sigh.  I asked if they might have the new ones in the back and he assured me they do not keep anything in the back but put it out right away.  I didn't want to ask him how the 15-20 Simpson figures somehow matched the 90 stock count he'd pulled up.

Went back to Store #3 again tonight.  The stock counter has jumped to over 200.  Once again, only 15-20 Simpson figures out front.  I asked a different associate about the new ones (again, being open that they share the same number as the Simpson ones).  This time I was told that they had not received any of the new ones yet and that "None" of the Targets carry the new figures yet because Targets get those much later than other stores.

So.... all of you who have found your figures at Target you should return them.  They are clearly Mega Blocks.
