Take with a grain of salt, but I just got off phone with LEGO CS asking if Series 14 minifigures is really done (e.g. no more from shop at home) and the rep told me that they should be back in stock within 2 weeks.  Played the part of the concerned father of little Timmy, worried he wouldn't get his zombie cheerleader without his father having to step foot in a target or walmart and that I preferred to buy them from shop at home with VIP.

There's no way that they would only have these available for 2 days.

that's what I thought too - but why then put SOLD OUT instead of TOOS or "we will be making more check back soon" nonsense.  I can not recall a miniseries figure line going out of stock 2 days after release.  I think that speaks about the demand for these.  I ordered another 2 sealed cases this morning before Minifigures+ raises the price.

My theory: They had a new intern in charge of flipping the switch who couldn't care less about the difference between SO and TOOS :D

I am pretty sure almost every series is marked "sold out" after their initial release.  Lego seems to not be able to keep up with the initial demand for the figs.

These are done for. Retired in 2 days sweetness.

nope sold out means bye bye. True most new sets sell out fast but they are usually marked temporarily out of stock will ship in so and so days. Sold out means goodbye. Just like the good ol Death Star. This is awesome cause people are gonna start freaking out that they couldn't get any. No worries like I said Lego will re release this series in a few weeks with a few slight alterations. Like the winter toy shop. How sweet is that set!

Went to target and I couldn't find any minifigures?  Did they start putting them in different places?  My store use to have them at the end of the lego aisle.   Ended up going to TRU and getting what I hope was a mostly complete box.  Box was opened and I only counted 58.  They didn't have any sealed boxes.  I was told that the store doesn't carry them in the back and that all they have they put out for display.

I had to ask at a Target yesterday for them with the DPCI code 204-00-1379.  They got them from the back room.  It doesn't seem they're in a hurry to put them out for sale.  They also brought out some Simpsons Series 2 minifigures because they have the same code.

Mixels Series 5 would be the other example where they SOLD OUT only to come back full force.  It's like there's a Low-Rate Initial Production that they use to gauge just how many to make in the Full-Rate Production.

For what it's worth the manager at TRU today told me the 3 boxes they got were all they were getting. (He said someone told him this)  Which then prompted me to buy another box.  And I'm thinking about going back for the other half.  Cause like someone else said I haven't seen them at meijer(who usually puts out mini figs two weeks early around here)  and The 2 targets around me don't have them.

Edit- and also he wasn't telling me this in hopes of "selling" me on them, he was just telling me cause I see him every week and it genuinely seemed like he thought I might want to buy more cause I kept asking about them

Hard to believe they only get one shipment of these.

Not sure if others are seeing this, but so far my experience is that people are scooping these up in large batches.  The Target I was at last night opened a new box for me. (The only Target I have been to that has had them.)  I smooshed and got 14 of them.  Some other guy grabbed some random packs while I was there and when I checked the online Target inventory prior to my purchase, it showed 56 available.  Then at the end of the night, it said there were 42 left (which was accurate after taking my transaction into account).  This morning I was going to go back and get a few more but within an hour of the store opening, the online inventory showed that they were gone.  So apparently, someone grabbed every one they had.  The same thing happened earlier in the week at the LEGO store and at TRU.  Picked up a few packs one day, checked again the next day and everything was gone.  I don't remember any other series being depleted so quickly at each store, basically selling out within a day of being put on the shelf.

found 87 of them today at TRU, they let me keep the 2 display boxes they were in which was cool. Used GC, Coupons, Rewards, TRUTH, etc.

Here's the breakdown of what I received: (I'd consider trading some as I'd like to make at least 5 complete sets from these)

Banshee- 6

Fly Monster- 5

Gargoyle- 5

Monster Rocker- 8

Monster Scientist- 9

Plant Monster- 5

Skeleton Guy- 5

Spectre- 6

Spider Lady- 4

Square Foot- 4

Tiger Woman- 5

Wacky Witch- 3

Wolf Guy- 4

Zombie Businessman- 4

Zombie Cheerleader- 5

Zombie Pirate- 9

I can recall seeing a couple of the older Series' stating Sold Out on Shop-at-Home only to be back In Stock some days later. It's one thing to be prepared just in case but thinking they're already done is rather premature.

I believe the CMF line will end in the next couple years.  To me, the Simpsons and Monsters(though cool) is them grasping at straws because they have run out of original ideas for new lines, which is honestly understandable when there are only so many different types of person out there.  Either that, or they start re-hashing figures, which I know would go really well around here.

I feel like I have heard this speech before with the line ending and them running out of ideas. The rehashing of some characters has taken place and chances are such decisions will continue down the road but those few seem minimal in comparison with all the others not done prior. For me the line will be done should the price increase once more then I am out.

Everybody's been saying how much they love this entire series.. Granted it's a good series, but the gargoyle is a cheep cop-out imho. They should've given him an accessory...

Like what exactly? It's a flying stone monster who attacks with its claws or talons. Maybe they should have given him some Wolverine hand blades then? They aren't known to carry anything.

The old trade forum was much more conducive to trading.  Perhaps we can do some trading in this forum.  I will be all about trading when I open up my figs tomorrow.

Didn't Jeff reopen the trading forum after a software upgrade recently? The big update he did broke it and he was waiting for the forum makers to fix something.

I thought the "trading section" was moved to brickclassifieds.  I am unaware of the trading forum being reopened.

The trading forum was reopened ... Go to the * Members Only Forum * then to the Lego Trading Forum and post away. No selling in there is all... Brick Classifieds has "want ads" which involve the exchange of money.

That's what I remember Jeff saying the other day... Just don't remember where he posted that and I'm on my iPad which sucks for searching.

** edit... Yeah, he posted about it on August 24th in the Site Information & Updates forum. Go read and then go trade. :) **
