I saw this at a TrU the other day (still @ msrp) and it got me thinking, with the lack of interest of the monster fighter line in the past, could the s14 minifigs have a short run life? Possibly disappearing before Hallowe'en!

If i recall these are actually $5 above MSRP. At least in my area ($30 VS. $25 MSRP), yuck.

Wonder if the Simpsons second series will be discounted. There's tons on the shelves around where I am. (And still no refill of series 14 stock )

The Simpsons II was a surprize failure imo, several places still have them instock & even a few have simply put sealed boxes out on the shelves which are as yet untouched (that almost never happens 'round here).  Series 12 & 13 is widely available still, but at least they've been well cherry-picked.  I was beginning to think the cmf line was soon to be on life-support but with series 14 almost all the figs are great & that might be just what the  entire line needed.

I believe the CMF line will end in the next couple years.  To me, the Simpsons and Monsters(though cool) is them grasping at straws because they have run out of original ideas for new lines, which is honestly understandable when there are only so many different types of person out there.  Either that, or they start re-hashing figures, which I know would go really well around here.

I think it's got a lot of room to grow, actually. Little kids love these, and with Disney throwing their hat into the ring, there's a lot of room for many more lines.

I'm also not sure where people think the simpsons series 2 are not good sellers, because that's not the case.  Simpsons Series 1 is also one of the fastest of the Minifig lines to near 2x on amazon.  Just saying.  There is a lot of room for licensed lines down the line.   Lego could time future disney movies with a series, and it will be $$.

The Spice Girls 20th anniversary tour is next year, so there's another promo they can tie-in.
