I think this was pretty creative. It's not my listing, I just stumbled upon it. If this isn't allowed, please just remove just the link & not the entire post & pic.

Gee... has anyone pointed out that technically this fellow isn't a Gargoyle  at all but rather a Grotesque?  His mouth would hafta be open for it to be a truly functional Gargoyle,  Gargoyles are architecturally functional in that they divert water from the structure they rest upon whilst a Grotesque is basically purposed just for aesthetics.  :-)

I doubt the 16 people offended by the mischaracterization are in my target market.

These haven't shown up in my local Target yet, but can anyone confirm if the dpci or whatever code shows up on the receipt is the same as series 13? I thought I heard that Target uses the same code for the CMF line but it would be nice if someone can confirm that.

My local Target started taking advice from TRU and has applied the TRU tax to a lot of their Lego inventory. Series 12 and 13 were priced at $4.89!! Ugh.

Yes, the same (204-00-1379). Many Targets are keeping them under a sign in the back that reads: Do not put out until 9/1.

I find it a little disturbing that I now have this DPCI # memorized...

If these stay at $3.99 in Canada (which early price tags in WM seem to support they will) then these would be a great item for US travelers to pick up north of the border! Puts them at 3.05 USD.

Easy to stuff in a suitcase too :P

If we were talking about the architectural motifs then yes you are completely correct. The design here seems to stem more from the folklore of the winged man-beasts which a number usually has them as living stone entities similar to a golem. Still I didn't even think about the fascinating point you brought up until you had. :good:

Apparently, I should have checked my local TGT more often, because there were 8 of these in an otherwise empty Series 13 120 display case.  Looked well-smooshed, but I grabbed the rest anyway.  Guess they missed the big sign or someone sweet-talked them into bringing them out.  Rang up at retail price without any issue.

I just finished smooshing the case I purchased last week. I've opened two complete sets (sold one already for $125 shipped), and have left the rest sealed. The guide is very helpful, but if you add up the totals of each fig in each case on the guide it comes out to 62, not 60. Every number of figs to expect was correct from my experience, except for the Spider Lady. My case only had three of those, not five as stated on the guide. Can anyone else confirm these numbers from their experience?

So far I sold 4 plant monsters,3 wolf, 4 tiger, ... I say it's about even among the rarer ones right now. There's too many too like

There was a lot of early hate for the tiger woman.  I too think she's kinda hot ('specially with that whip :) ) ... she may be quite popular with certain people. :D
