I think $200 is a little... optimistic. In reality, the buyer has time to contemplate what they're getting for those two bills. A weak-a$$ cage that's barely big enough to hold the two re-colored raptors that did absolutely nothing in the movie along with an ATV that belongs in a polybag. I think it'll peak at $120-$130. That's still really damn good.

We will see.  Many said the same thing about fallingwater, and let's not forget the delorean.  Granted the delorean has fallen quite a bit, but it was at 150 over christmas.

I'll agree with this. RE will be fine but it's not zombies. The Raptors are what move these and plenty of folks will settle for Raptor Rampage.

I kept buying them up off eBay at 60 bucks a piece and from walmart when they came back a few weeks ago.

Happy with the decision.

She's Gone

how many were you hoarding that walmart supply wasn't enough that you had to pick up from ebay?

i finished mine during the holiday season (kept 5 just-in-case) which i managed to restock in recent walmart availability. i think i got enough i.e. every single one sold during holiday were replaced. if there is another restock; i will gladly take in another double digit.

thank you for the reminder; i still have to pickup some from walmart.

you are correct there but charlie from 75920 is what drove up the demand.

stoopid TLG originally had "charlie and echo" as raptors in 75917 description and looks like they still are mentioning "charlie in 75917".

now although demand seems light enough i do believe this set will be fine. not looking for 5X RRP rather 4X RRP next holiday season ;)

if that 30320 got sold @ $49,99 ... its safe to expect 75920 to fetch $149,99 and of course expectation and reality are two different things.

whatever happens we are fine as long as walmart/TLG don't have another restock of these. even if they do if the quantity is less than 2k its all fine. i personally don't think horde/reseller will have appetite for more than 2k 75920 to sit on for whole 11 months.

Those were an easy double eventually, after getting them for $11.

mine was @ $12+tax. not going to complain. i liked the speeder.... if i had the $$$$ then i would have parted that set to death ;) but again those were the days when lego deals were to be had but no funds ($$$) to buy.

these days plenty of funds but no deals ;)

I looked and I think I sold over 100 last fall

I was not thinking that it would be back to walmart so I kept buying from eBay to replenish in anticipation of retirement and would have to check but think I acquired about 30 through eBay and then another couple dozen or so through walmart I should have at least 50 remaining in storage

I was a bit worried it was coming back but I could not help but buy more

there were zero RE at the brick and mortar LEGO store at the Westfarms Mall yesterday  - none in back and manager didn't expect any.  same manager barked out "NO - It's retired." when I asked if there were any Tumbler's.

All other JW sets including I-rex were plentiful at the LEGO store surrounding TRU, targets and Walmarts through the Hartford-New Haven corridor.

even toyburg in the picture. so i was correct when i mentioned that there was another source apart from TRU from where these are/were released.

don't know the number but i believe we are seeing over 2k stock between 2 or 3 sellers and there must be more from where it came from.

i think TRU stock was 10k and between raven and friends it was very quickly absorbed. this time of year gonna to hard to absorb this new source.

How much money did you make off it?

Pricing fluctuated with the market I sold it both stand alone and bundle format

I do not track margins levels in detail looking at a specific line of product but I was happy with the return in general as it was happening

I do both quick flip and long term hold for a mixture of sales

so I quick flipped those and then I have a stack of them to think about for medium to long term

Don't get to excited with a store exclusive being gone...

ah sensei master of the quick flip who has guided this padawan in so many ways with thy profound wisdom

I shall veer course and tell you I am ecstatic over 75920 retiring and the future it holds

Me too.  Sold 84 with 38 left for long term.

i hope TLG doesn't decide to produce more and walmart doesn't decide to order more by just looking at this thread :(.

if they do we are phenomenonly screwed. ...

According to stock tracker every walmart in my area has 2 or more of these for $30. I checked two walmarts, they had zero. Not going to bother checking the rest. I hate walmarts inventory. How do you even run a business without even knowing what you have on hand to sell? Blow my mind.

In my experience (in the Canadian WM's) it could be misplaced product, or stolen product. At some point they had the amount specified, but somewhere down the line they were misplaced and the system can't account for thefts or misplaced items etc.

Frustrating i know :(

How much is too much to pay for the RE, I know it is retired but my kid loves the JW sets an this is one we don't have,

is it worth buying 2 one to store and 1 for him?

I know they were sold on sale at 29.99 & 39.99 retail but now people are scalping high.
