cargoyle Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Hello Lego Collectors and investors. I have a question concerning a MF set which I recently was lucky enough to come across that a friend was selling. He said he had bought it directly from lego when it came out (it's a First Edition) and that he had opened the seals and looked at the contents and then closed it back up. All the contents appear to be there, but there are sooooo many bags. Does anyone know exactly what the contents should be and how many bags there should be? I see the instruction book, 2 loose gray "fences", 2 stickers (1 is the data plate sticker and the other is chrome), and 80 clear plastic bags of varying size. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dan cargoyle Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 While I don't know the answer to your actual question, I will tell you that the likely reason this set was opened was to see if a gold C3PO minifig was inside. LEGO put this special edition minifig in random 2007 sets. So I doubt it was opened go take anything out, but just to check for that minifig. Its quite valuable. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Our good friend at star city bricks says that the full set box and all weighs 22.52 lbs, I would weight it! Quote

Thanks, Dan cargoyle those two "fences" go for over 200$ each. of course, a complete 10179 is around 2000$ anyways Quote
