Not always a guarantee of more than one complete set though. I bought a box of the Disney mfs and only got one Ariel.

Are you sure about that? AFAIK every box is exactly the same unless someone opened it. A normal box has three complete sets.

it was reported by multiple brickpickers, myself included that there was unexpected variation in the minifigure distribution with the initial release in factory sealed cases.  i haven't bought any cases since then so i can't comment.  i had a couple of cases with only 2 Ariels instead of 3 and got an extra aladin instead (thanks!). i smooshed 20 complete sets,  These were unopened in the brown factory box.

Interesting, I know there's some variation in the distribution for s16 boxes in the US vs Europe.

Anyone doing OK out of these lately? Sold a couple of sets on Ebay in the last week for about £10 over some of the lower prices (a good listing with plenty of pics and a few thousand 100% positive feedbacks probably helps, as well as Xmas obviously). I still have 10 full sets to go and bought them in the Tesco 3-4-2 months ago so it's all good. You can still do alright in this game if you buy the right sets at the right time and get a good discount, and don't expect ridiculous profits on every set. :)

It depends how little people are willing to accept really. I've seen sets go for between £70 and £90 in the last week or so. I've sold 2 sets at the higher end of that and I increase the price every time one sells. I'll be holding at least half of my sets for many months anyhow to see how the price increases over time, but I don't mind cashing in on a few at the moment with a decent profit for the Xmas sales whilst people are buying them up. A good listing is essential though if selling on Ebay and wanting the higher prices, I would suggest.

i've sold a few sets for £80-£90 which is a good profit as i purchased at rrp. they don't seem to be as popular as I thought they would be.

It's early days though. I'm expecting it to be a few months until the price starts to bump up a bit more. It will though. It's a loved theme and a genuine Lego product. Short run too which was a god send and caught even casual collectors off guard. They'll hit £100 before too long.

Meant to post these yesterday. Some were in the end cap dispenser thingy too.  I've also noticed fresh cases at Wal-Mart.

They are not in a shortage   surely they will be worth something in a few years

the popular ones still sell just fine on BL ($6+), at least for me. I just need to care more about smooshing as my stash of Mr. Incredible and aliens continue to grow. I don't mind as that all were purchased at $3 or less

Just going to put this here: I counted 70 boxes (including the ones on pegs).

It seems for once UK might outperform US for this series. UK sold out and retired months ago, complete opposite in US. Complete sets selling for 2  x RRP on ebay.

I'm guessing Ohio, similar scene here.

My area definitely got a big restock but nothing close to 70 boxes in one target.  They are just now starting to thin out in the area.  Still easy enough to find,  Every so often when I have a few minutes I smoosh out a few Ursalas, maleficents and alices to add to the pile :P

South Ohio. The actual number of bags is not showing properly on the stock tracker under DPCI 204-00-1379 (unless someone came by and bought 4000 of them), but ALL stores around me have at least 300 of that code, some 500+.
