Ugh. I'm highly skeptical. I absolutely loved the original - I was around 8 years old and I was their target demo.

It's definitely not like the Petes we grew up with. Was a fairly short preview but looked cool. Looks like Disney is remaking some of these movies and updating them pretty well. I took my 7 year old to see The Jungle Book, I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. It was very good. And I noticed a lot of adults in the theatre without kids.

Some more figs I'd like to see in the future; Mad Hatter, Jafar, Jack Skellington. I wonder how they would go about designing a Quasimodo fig? Maybe a new hunchback piece that attaches under the head?

Yeah, I'd take ANYTHING from The Nightmare Before Christmas...

If you look closely at the bottom rear of the bags you can see very faint bumps that identify the contents of the bag as per your picture. In all honesty, it's not as easy as it sounds, some bags are clear-ish, some bags look like they have no bumps at all!!! I'd have a good feel around the bag aswell!!!

My guess is the rumors are true. They have already started production of the next series of minifigures so why would they still be making the old ones.

Because these are like printing money and they're from the Disney license.  I can't fathom that Disney AND TLG would underestimate the demand for these and plan to only produce them for a 3 or 4 months.  If I were Disney, I would want these things produced for at least a year.  They couldn't care less about investment potential and there are millions if not hundreds of millions Disney fans out there.  Don't get me wrong, I'd love the idea of them being done as I've got a truckload of them, but I don't see it.

Got lucky to get 18 figs from LEGO Shop at Home ... This was what they gave me ...

Alien

Daisy x3

Ursula x3

Alice

Malifecent x2

Peter Pan x3

Ariel x4

Stitch

What do you think about that distribution?

you got multiples of the 3 hardest ones to find - Ursula, Maleficient and Ariel.

also to only get one alien and stitch is pretty dang lucky as these are very common..  you should be able to trade for the rest or sell of the rare ones to pay for the more common ones.

Exactly^

I was going to say something similar.

I need Ariel x3 for sets.

Can/would trade any other for her.

Two independent stores that I'm aware of here in Australia have publicly stated they are not able to get anymore Disney Minifigures.

I wonder if the Disney Minifigs set will follow the same course as the German Football team Minifigs set, and have a similar limited production run.

Though the Disney Minifigs are still sold per single pack at LEGO Shop at Home...
