TheOrcKing Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Here is a glimpse at this year's VIP exclusive minifigure set similar to the Classic Spaceman. Source: Hoth Bricks 1 Quote
jay4e Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) given that i grew up in the prime classic pirate era, this is quite interesting. however the minifigure looks off to me, cant make out which pirate that is but its not one of the common ones from the original line...I do like the traditional shark, since I dont believe any of the new sets have a standard shark. Ted Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 The picture at the moment is a bit blurry, but looking at the middle where there appear to be a pic of some other pirates? Maybe 8 minifigures and a skeleton with parrot? Hopefully it might be included in this set but might be a bit too much for Lego to have. Quote

This one is pretty lame compared to the classic spaceman box. Quote
Ted Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 ahhhh...that make sense. i forgetten all about the small booklet that also came with the box. oh well....it is almost the same as the classic spaceman one as in it had a classic spaceman and a robot while this got a pirate and a shark Not much pieces but fits the bill as a freebie. jay4e Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Its official http://brickset.com/sets/5003082-1I have no interest in this what so ever. At least the classic spaceman was close (minus the helmet). This set has nothing classic about it at all, its just a promo set of the current pirate theme with a book(?) of old pictures. Quote

The parts look good but I'm not sure how they're calling this a classic pirate when it looks nothing like any classic pirate. Quote
marcandre Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 That's pretty cool. I'm bricklinking a flagship and using pirates instead of imperial soldiers. This guy will fit in nicely. Quote
@rtisan Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 It`s a nice little set, but nothing really exclusive/desirable is included (correct me if I`m wrong). A more exclusive minifig or some parts would have been nice. But that said, it is a nice little piece. Quote
tacsniper Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Nice box. I was expecting to just be another polybag. Quote
jaylay Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 All that set is going to do is put a dent on the exclusive big set that's sitting on it as it travels to your door. 2 Quote
naf Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 This is a disappointment. There really is nothing classic about this figure. Everything included, except the shark, is modern. I can excuse the spaceman helmet last year since they don't have the old mold anymore, but this is just printing so really no excuse.Still going to get one, I'm a big lego pirates fan and can never have too many pirates minifigs. arrrrrrrr Quote
superbrickman Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Still going to get one, I'm a big lego pirates fan and can never have too many pirates minifigs. arrrrrrrr Me too! Same with the Pirates-themed chess set. I just don't play chess, but all those minifigs!!! Quote
drunknmunkys Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Got a bunch of LEGO Shop at Home points to redeem, thinking about cashing in now for a few pirates. Any thoughts on the promo? Quote
bricketycricket Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 This one is a solid one as far as freebies go. I'd be happy to get one along with a purchase but won't buy something just to get it. It's much better than a chima bike, demolition driller, etc. Quote
miguelze Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 This set could be worth 25€ in two years. Lego isn't making any pirate theme sets and from what I've looked up there won't be any in the next few years. Most of us grew up playing, or dreaming, of pirate Vs. soldier Lego's so I believe this unique set has something special. I have one and will hold it. Quote
c666187 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 These were given away last week at LEGO Kids Fest in KC, along with First Order General, Friends Mini Golf, and others.. Quote
Deanfjr Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 This set is now being given out to new people that sign up for the VIP Program I just read about it on front page of SAH under the free classic knight set promo (the fine print) Quote
