ISO8T0 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Does anybody know what will be the Lego SAH limit on Sept 1st. One or two I guess. My guess is 2. Quote
therealjustin Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 He's here! The package from ToysRUs came today and I have to say that I am very impressed. I was not expecting WALL-E to arrive so soon after placing my order and I had doubts whether the set was really in stock. The box is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and very heavy. The box art is awesome! Quote
Contrails Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Saw it in store today and wanted to buy it but the cashier said that it is not to be sold until 9/1 Quote
meowsmeowsmeows Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Reports that the set's release may be delayed 1-2 weeks because of quality issues:http://www.thebrickfan.com/reports-of-lego-ideas-wall-e-21303-being-delayed/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+LegoEverlasting-LegoReviewsNews+(The+Brick+Fan+-+LEGO+Reviews+%26+News)I'm not sure what that means if you already got the set from Toys R Us. 1 Quote
jbacunn Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I got three and already sold one. I'm hiking my price on my remaining 2. This could get interesting... Quote
thegooch49 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Saw it in store today and wanted to buy it but the cashier said that it is not to be sold until 9/1 It's bizarre that places put it on the shelf, but won't sell it. Just keep it in back for heavens sake. That's really annoying. 2 Quote

montreid Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hopefully it's an additional neck piece to stabilize the head for positioning. That would be GREAT. It's the one issue that's cropped up on all the reviews. Quote
Loghamel Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 We get it, reselling not your thing. There's ways to streamline that too; but we get the point -- not worth your time to earn something that's right in front of you that takes a little work like typing all that out. It's actually not like that at all. I'm getting in this to resell. To tell you the truth, I've not done enough research to know if I should grab them or not. At $60 a pop, I didn't wanna take the chance and have to drive back to it to return them or just break even. Normally, I'd have just whipped my phone out and checked, but I had my 2 yo with me and didn't wanna mess with it. I just happened to have been in the area of this store as it's not the closest store to me and thought I'd stop in. I'm glad I did. I found about 9 different retired sets they had in stock. It's like the black hole for Legos. They had just about everything in stock multiples deep. I'm definitely going to have to start driving out to it when they're clearancing (word?) stuff out. Quote
Mathew Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The thing with Wall-E is that the movie is already seven years old. Sure there is pent-up demand from the Lego community but probably not as much as you think in the general public. Ghostbusters and BttF have stronger cross-over appeal. I predict strong sales initially (due to resellers gobbling up stock) but slow post-Christmas. Quote
conceptmachine Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) I could see someone wanting to make 20 bucks off of :30 of their time. There was a time where I was only making 4./hr 25 years ago. I make a little more than that now. Edited August 28, 2015 by conceptmachine Quote
terrymc4677 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Wait...what? Who still drives to the bank these days, other than little old ladies who need to deposit their bingo winnings? I do all of my banking on my phone. Strange... Quote
Grynn Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Near miss on 4 of these today, TRU tried hard to take my money but the system just wouldn't let them sell, lol. Interestingly, these 4 were from 2 different runs several weeks apart. Quote
ISO8T0 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 No sign of any Wall-Es at my TRU. Some people just follow the rules too closely. Quote
seapotato Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 There was a sign for it at my TRU but the shelf was empty, next to a pile of Big Bang Theory. Quote
gregpj Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I'm on mobile so I can't easily move these posts that have ZERO to do with WALL-E so ill do it later unless one of the other mods can but please cut out the confrontational posts (you know who you are) and keep on topic. 1 Quote
therealjustin Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 32R5 here as well. I noticed the printed pieces on my set have scuffs and scratches. Anyone else see something like this? Quote
tractorboy Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I think it means you struck quick flip gold.If it turns out there was a quality issue, I wouldn't want to pay a premium for a 'faulty' set. I think I'd just wait and pay retail once they fixed the issue. Quote

Also, there are some impatient fok out there who just want to have it and are maybe not aware or care about any issue. 1 Quote
