Mind you i have not watched this series since the first couple seasons. Can't find a set number to add to the title, but if someone else knows it and can edit go for it! 4 Quote
StompingFreak Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I brought some custom figures a while back, which look better than these. I got them from firestar toys. I'm not advertiseing there mini figures. But they do look better. Also has anyone seen that naff game for the next ideas thing....? Everything else that went though(10,000 votes) Lego has licences for already. Why do people smitt ideas that they know Lego already own. Bring on Andy's Dr Who set. Stomping Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Howard needs bigger belt buckle and more colorful shirt AND pants. When did he ever wear grey pants ???? Also, he should have come with either mini mars rover or mini space toilet for obvious reasons 2 Quote

The Big Bang Theory Posted June 2 2015 — 2:00 PM EDT The characters of The Big Bang Theory have gone plastic! Ahead of the toy giant releasing the first look at Leonard and Sheldon’s LEGO living room set on Wednesday, EW has an exclusive sneak peek at some of the mini-figures that will be included. Designed by two LEGO fan designers—Alatariel from Sweden and Glen Bricker from the USA—the set comes bundled with seven BBT minifigures: Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, Howard, Raj, Amy and Bernadette. See below for a first look: The Big Bang Theory construction set, which will cost $59.99, is expected to be available this summer. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** I thought this was reported to be $80, I hope they're right about the $59.99 Quote

meowsmeowsmeows Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Kidding aside, the minifigures are a little bit of a disappointment. I'm curious to see what the full set with all minifigs looks like, which is supposed to be revealed tomorrow according to Lego's facebook page 1 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 At least seeing The LEGO Movie Larry the Barista's hair piece in a different color means we will see that in other sets aside from just the original minifigure and this upcoming one so that's nice. I can't say anything about the figures likeness to the show's characters as I don't watch it but they seem alright. Now comes the big question of what and how well the set design itself will turn out to be. Quote
Grolim Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Set design and price point will be interesting.Hope they make it an expanded set to include the kitchen and computer area, but I can see it being just focused on the couch and background. Quote
exciter1 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I still can't believe this set is getting made. 4 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I still can't believe this set is getting made. Next thing you know there will be a set based on "That 70s Show" which according to my mother had very little to do with the actual 70s (like that's a surprise). Quote
@rtisan Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Why not use Woody`s pants for Sheldon? Seems like an obvious reason to include them, why on earth not? Maybe they`ll include it, but that said, but not in these images? Battrax Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 This may sell well on places like Thinkgeek... not sure about the longterm. Is the programme going to be on air for a while longer?P.s. if THIS got approved, those incredibly well designed Caterhams better make it. I'd hoard a horde of them (and get a few to sell, as well). bricketycricket Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm sure availability will be extensive given that it's a licensed set, so that should put a ceiling on where this set could go. I wouldn't expect another RI situation for this one. And I don't even know if it's great for a long term hold because, despite it being popular during its run, that show is hardly a classic and will be instantly forgotten the day after the series ends. 1 Quote

I'd hoard a horde of them (and get a few to sell, as well).Yes, the Big Bang Theory is renewed through the 2018 season, 3 more years. I'm sure availability will be extensive given that it's a licensed set, so that should put a ceiling on where this set could go. I wouldn't expect another RI situation for this one. And I don't even know if it's great for a long term hold because, despite it being popular during its run, that show is hardly a classic and will be instantly forgotten the day after the series ends.I`m not a fan of the show, but the popularity is unquestionable. Not sure if I agree with you on this or not, it`s not a classic, but it also is still on air (for 3 more years), so no test of time really, unless you are looking at now. To renew a show for 3 years all at once is extremely rare, so CBS has placed a lot of stock and faith in the program. If this set has a shelf life of 1-1.5 years, you could still see high ROI while still on air. If it manages to maintain and grow a cult following, you could see even larger demand and returns long after. Bottom line, the set is solid, really, it`s quite good overall, but it isn`t released yet, and when it is we will undoubtably have plenty of time to analyze investment prospects and hedge bets accordingly. My opinion right of the bat, it will do quite well, and if it is a limited release, well, better stock up for Christmas, we could see another Minecraft BOOM! under the right circumstances. 1 Quote
Val-E Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 A bit overpriced isn´t it? I can see this being popular and maybe a good set to bundle with RI or boost the latter´s appeal. Quote
