LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096)

I think i am getting one or two of those. Currently 35% off, and I'll use my wall-e's refund (the difference in pricing). I should get a very nice price on it. Not much supply on brick link and is selling for msrp. Or wall-e again. I'm not sure.

Was thinking that myself. Worst case, I have a 4th version of this set to add to the Darth Maul garage MOC I will need to build. Would probably look very similar to the Batcave. The Maul cave has a nice ring to it.

Speaking of, the BvS batplane set is 40% off. Tempting, especially with the so far unique WW figure.

price matched my wall-es, even the ones i've bough at 55$-15$ gift card, and they gave me 10$ gift card for january has well for those at 55$ i've bough last week, bough one 75096, with major discounts, thanks to those wall-e. keeping my invoice cause i think it's going on bogo, so

hard to beat!  I've bough a lot of gift from toy-r-us, all keeping the invoices, because if some 150$ gift comes to 100$ with second bogo... Ill go hit the highest lego sets close to that price with bogo. I see lots of opportunities that i missed the last years.

The Lawrence / Vic park TRU was cleared out of Wall-E, TBBT, etc. Strangely, I didn't see many sale signs up on lego. Then when I looked at the price tags on the sets I knew were on sale, they were at the sale price but in the usual white tags. You'd almost think they didn't want people to know they were on sale.

Yeah I've seen that a lot at TRUs. I always double-check at the self serve price checkers

Weird. I'd never seen that before at any location. Not sure I want that practice to catch on. On the one hand it probably means more people will overlook sets not knowing they are on sale. On the other hand, one of those people might be me. :)

I've seen (as an example) some retired Ninjago sets sitting on the shelf over a white label price tag but at a discounted price of 20%-50% off on the white label. No fanfair or indicator that the stock has been reduced from RRP and only savvy LEGO buyers would notice this.

The TRU at Sherway is terrible. They don't brother with having accurate prices or have price scanner that works. On Black Friday, the flyers had "other sets at 40%" but it doesn't show on the flyers which ones they were. So at the store, you would hope there were signs. Nope. Then you ask one of the 20 people running around saying they are busy and then you finally find a person to help and they have no idea which ones are on sales (even after asking the supervisor). There were other shoppers that were wondering exactly the same thing and one lady said she is never coming back to the store and storm out. I was afraid I might have created a riot.

Boxing week flyer shows up to 10 sets at %40 off. Sith Infiltrator and the BvS Sky battle sets are the only ones shown. I would have jumped on the Sith infiltrator just for the figs, but we'll be seeing a $30 set out soon with Maul and Qui-Qon ;)

Was hoping to see Indominus Rex at %40, but you'd think they would show that in the flyer if so, guess we'll see.

Edit - missed the "up to %40" part, not a blanket %40, booo.

And the Lego sets shown are not part of the BOGO (price didn't end in 8).

Thank you for the insight Mr. TRU employee, i'll be sure to ask you what goes on sale next time ;)

No worries. Many resellers want the same as you, 40% off this and that near EOL trying to squeeze a buck but it ain't happening. If you really want the IR, just pay that $170 a piece listed on amazon.ca or you'll be paying $270 a piece next month.
