flord Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 This ticks me off because the last time TRU had this promo and I got a couple and one set was absolutely crushed in their terrible packaging. I called to complain and they told me they had no more left to exchange. Quote
Codes Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Also annoyed, as last time they had this promotion, I ended up getting two of one of the Bricktober sets, so I didn't even get the complete collection. Quote
lobo1969 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 You guys need to shop at TRUs with zero expectations.;) 1 Quote
lobo1969 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 TRUs advertised 20% off Friends and Creator sets but it turns out it was a meager list, nothing note worthy. Quote
ltbuyer Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Lasting Toys is running 15% off most everything (doesn't end in .X5 prices, or already on sale etc) which covers creator and 20% off most friends (again except .X5 prices). Quote
Vodium Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 BOGO 1/2 off starts today. Sadly there doesn't seem to be any Lego on clearance to get the deal. Quote
megahuts Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 BOGO 1/2 off starts today. Sadly there doesn't seem to be any Lego on clearance to get the deal. That isn't entirely true. You could get Duplo Peter Pan Visit! So exciting! Quote
jeff_14 Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 They're also selling Star Wars figures, including 6 inch Black Series, for up to 40% off Quote
gster Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Off topic, but what do you guys think about the 1/4 Arkham Knight Batman figure? Quote
TargetZero Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 have someone found something hot in store with the BOGO? Quote

jonkiller Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 free streetview with the purchase of lego ferrari and other bigger sets! 1 Quote
Vodium Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) http://www.toysrus.ca/promoproducts/index.jsp?id=101663086&type=t Available with 6 different sets. I really need to get a friends address in the city so I can actually order this stuff. Silly Toys'R'Us and their $50 rural shipping. Edited July 13, 2016 by Vodium 2 Quote
redghostx Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Thanks Vodium! I was finally able to get a Ferrari with the promo. I like half price exclusives, especially if I decide to build it. I had to take advantage of TRUoffering free shipping to BC for once (although the larger value sets have a shipping charge) Quote
Zelgazra Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Sweet. Twiddled my thumbs thinking on it too long last time this came around. Had a $25 GC to burn, grabbed my first Ferrari. At 119 I might grab another, too bad the Mini isn't included this time though, I'd prefer one of those for a personal build I think. Quote
Zelgazra Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Hah. Just placed a second order, and they're already out of the full streetview collection. Getting 2 Hotels with the second order, 0 TRU Store. Quote

Although I haven't used ebay, these are not selling like hotcakes. Quote
Zelgazra Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 ^^ Agreed. They don't sell nearly as high as many had hoped they would either. Though with the $119 buy-in, flipping the collection at around $70 is still great value. Doesn't look as good against a $229 Slave 1. Quote

I can easily get $67 Canadian out of them, after fees, based on solid listings on ebay. Quote

Last listing sold for $69.99 not counting ebay and paypal fees. I have no doubt you can sell for $67 net but it may not be as easy as you think. I have a dozen of these sets and they are VERY slow sellers. Quote

I sold them before and I can do it again, especially with domestic shipping in the US. You're probably correct that it is a lot harder to sell them domestically in Canada Edited July 14, 2016 by redghostx Quote
kd123 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Have had no luck selling these as well locally. May start using them as party favors soon. Quote
