Was waiting until everything I wanted was in stock before I used this discount. This at least brought the death stars closer to $500 which was where they were at before Toys R Us increased them to $599. These deals are killing my wallet however. Just received my 50 antman sets from Walmart a couple days ago so it was a $4000+ week! OUCH!!! 2 Quote

Yah that would be a big factor if one thought the dollar would stay this low for as long as one would hold this set. For me that seems a little unlikely. There's better opportunity out there right now IMO due to all the retirements. But if I had a lot of capital to blow (more than 10K), I would absolutely do this. Quote

No we're not missing anything here. He didn't say he spent $500 after tax, he said the 15% discount brought the sets "closer to $500". ($510 by my math) And the amounts he's referring to are all before tax. It was never stated he got the sets for $500 taxes in.
