jeff_14
So let's say there's a TRU that has 30 Witch Kings still on sale for $12. Should I just clear them out? 3 Exclusive and well liked figures that also appear in Lord of the Rings seems even more compelling than the 12 Gandalf Arrives I once bought and sold all at twice the price. Absolutely, the set's content is currently worth around 22 USD, over 30 CAD.

I took 14 which came to $200 with tax. There's still 20 left if any of my Toronto colleagues want some. Yonge and Eglinton location, in the same aisle as the Halo sets. They don't have a sale tag on them but they do ring up at $12.58 plus tax.

Well I tried many times since last september on Ebay ... even at 20$ can + exact shipping cost of 10$ can .. didn't sell a single one, either you part out or you combine with another set .. but really I don't see how this set will bring you money, I had 20 or so last year when they went on sale at WM , I gave a set at each birthday party my sons goes, this is the only way I see them leaving the house !! Tried on KIJIJI.. Hobbit and LOTR aren't selling at all around here .. I'm stuck with a pile of Armies ... and they aren't moving for me on Ebay too! The only set from this series that did good $$$ for me is the stash of Lonely Mountain I got last year, should have bought more . now I'm out of stock ! I've been parting out a few here and there, The minifigs seem to sell once I get close to double digits of each. Sold 19 witch-kings, and 8 of each of the other 2 minis to one buyer a day after listing them. Maybe I should raise my prices.

megahuts
Why would anyone want 19 Witch Kings? That is weird.
Veegs
Stash them for a year or preferably two. Small box, lots of end users will buy them over time (as opposed to resellers buying from other resellers) from a line that seems unlikely to ever be made again. The minifigs from 79015 are certainly selling on BrickOwl/BrickLink, I'm down to 3 Elrond from about 110! (okay, we have another 50 boxes not yet parted out) Given what @gravtation said, it makes sense selling the whole set by itself wouldn't work well due to the $10 shipping or so... but it's a great set to part out.
Devastator
Lots hoarded @ bogo 50%. So very hard to compete. Especially if they become slow movers.

Even tried with free shipping at 25$ .. NADA .. I still don't believe in this series... pouahhaha Mon Ami Stragus , you should have told me I would have clear these out for you .. might have left behind at least 100 sets .. let me know when I can help.. I'm not parting out so far! lol and If I can clear a few sets at any TRU to get empty space and see new stuffs getting in, it will always be my pleasure ! Zelgazra
Something you might consider having a go at Grav, would be to sell as open box sealed bags. You can open and flatten the box, and tuck all the sealed bags into a mailer. Most people are army building and intend to open the box anyway, so selling open box or even no box shouldn't be that difficult... especially when you can cut the shipping in half (US buyers) or a quarter (Canadian buyers). I've only listed a couple, but I've sold just the figures for ~$20 + $2.5 shipping. I have bricks leftover for MOCing or bundling together later, and I'm already in the black with a good buy-in like the BOGO offered last week! Definitely comes down to your buy in cost though, and the worthwhile value of it after that number has been recovered. As with anything on here I guess.

These over a hundred 79015 you left, was that during the BOGO 50% off? Darn. That's basically 50% off. P.S. You mentioned you could use boxes for shipping the last time we met, we'll have quite a few for the next time you drop by.

Seems like there is a lot of inventory for sale right now on EBay, but I think they're definitely worth picking up if you're willing to be patient. I was able to find one at my local TRU recently, but the box was a bit mangled. I was still pretty excited to see it.
