Rich B Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Great video! Can't wait to build this set! Quote
biniou Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Wow ! I totally missed the fact that it comes with a remote controller ! It looks even cooler than the 9398 crawler (as a remote vehicule). I can't wait to get some in 2016 for 160 Quote
gregpj Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 You just had to post that... I already wanted it but my wallet can't take much more of this. I have to buy snow tires for my car this year you know!! This is one of those rare technic sets (to me at least) where I want to build and keep both builds - I just wish the dump truck model had two more tires and a little more body work for the dump bed. Cross Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Like most Technic sets, it is impossible for the box photos- no matter how nice- to do them justice (I learned this lesson after building the Grand Prix car for our personal collection). Seeing is believing... Great video and a killer set. On the list as a family display piece. Quote
legone Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 This vs Mobile Crane 42009, which one? Btw I wish Lego will be more creative. I really, really like Nico71's creations. His machines really inspired many to get back to Lego. (Not that anything is wrong with this Volvo. I will probably buy one too). Quote
hannibal Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Technic got me to lego more than 20 years ago, and this is truly awesome! Just looking for good deals to buy it! Dont have the place to display it jow, nor the time to build it but i am definitely buying it! Amazing! Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Man I want it soooo bad. I need to build more before I buy more sets for myself though. Getting full in my closet. Quote
Tpkuk Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Video above is mint, glad I got 3 of these in the Argos 3 for 2 sale! Quote
hannibal Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I couldn't find ANY of these beauties in Argos in the Midlands ;( Quote
force392 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Saw this on another site. Great set. I ordered one from there and it shipped. Amazon UK has a great deal on the 2014 flagship remote controlled LEGO Technic set. Importing LEGO Technic Volvo L350F Wheel Loader (42030) into the US will cost about $190 total. That Quote

Ed Mack Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 That's pretty good. Total price after shipping comes out to USD 205.36 Yes, excellent deal. I saved $62.14 after all taxes. 24% off Quote
No More Monkeys Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) This vs Mobile Crane 42009, which one? ... Well, both of course... Edited September 30, 2014 by No More Monkeys 1 Quote
legone Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 ...and that is what I'm going to buy. Sorry son, your college education is not as important. Quote

Ed Mack Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I have found on several orders I have had to pay tax when it arrives in Canada. Is this the case in the US as well? From Amazon, they never charged me extra. I have received many orders from the UK Amazon, with no funny business. Quote
Ed Mack Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 As long as it is not marked as Hot Price at TRU stores, you can always get similar deal with a combination of coupon, discount GC, TRU CC on Thursdays. Yes, does require having magic ingredients, and yes, you have to visit the store, but at least you get to pick the box, and you don't have to wait weeks Why bother? This is easy...one click. Quote

MartinP Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Why bother? This is easy...one click. I guess some people are picky about the box condition and they want to go to the store and pick out the box themselves. I know I have done that in the past. Also, you don't have to wait to get the set, whether it's a few days or few weeks. Quote

Anything over $25 being shipped to you (gift or commercial goods) is taxable in Canada. Canada Post often doesn't bother when it's less than $50 though, especially if it's posted with no signature required and they can leave it at your door. Someone from the US correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it $250 for you guys? Quote
Spanky Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) Someone from the US correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it $250 for you guys? I have no idea what triggers import duties in the US. It might not be a fixed dollar value, but Instead be based on what product type is declared? I think you can import any dollar value of toys for personal use without paying duties (but I could be wrong). Nothing I've ever bought from another country (China, France, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, India) has ever come with customs due. Since there is no VAT or GST in the United States, customs duties don't serve the same purpose as in other jurisdictions. Edited September 30, 2014 by Spanky Quote
lego rules Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 just to clarify. I have always been charged taxes not duty. Quote
shirow Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) I ran the LEGO Shop at Home numbers vs. amazon UK numbers and with 2X VIP points starting tomorrow combined with the bonus elves' workshop, I decided to get it from LEGO Shop at Home instead.
