They have tried so hard (too hard) to hit every note from the OT - It seems as if most every bit of footage has been a nod to some nostalgic moment that we've already seen in SW.

I certainly can understand why, but I just hope that they spent half as much time coming up with an original story, instead of just trying to check off all the boxes.

Maybe the ghost of Jek Porkins is inside BB8´s memory card....

Expect a blip in ebay sales over the next week. Might be time to get shot of some DS´s if they are in the trailer and still TOOS.

if I wanted to stir it up I would say how is 7965 doing compared to the new one but I don't want to so I won't say that

I agree and the Death Star is waaaay more expensive and takes up Alotta shelf space plus I frankly don't think people care enough about It to where they have to own every version of it, if the newer looking one is better then people will obviously gravitate towards it since it's the newest greatest thing just like the newest millennium falcon

This wouldn't be the same thing. The Falcon is still pretty much just the same Falcon (except for the dish).

With the 10188, the minifigs (lots of them) and the OT scenes are what makes it so unique - those would not be the same at all in a new one (regardless of how they styled the set).

I can see where your coming from but the things so large and expensive, It's kind of a total shot in the dark to guess how the old one will do if/ when the new one comes out

Yep those are so iconic it makes more sense for a refresh a la WTS to keep the cash cow alive MOOOO!!! ;)

Plus, who says they cannot have a UCS new DS side by side with a refreshed 10188 ????
