DS is coming to other retailers too? or just LEGO Shop at Home...Hmmm

Even if it makes it to other retailers, the stock will dry up fast unless this is a huge production run or its followed up by massive production runs.  You can't even order a Pet Shop on Amazon now, thanks to the script kiddies protecting the Prime price.  I have to imagine the same will occur for resellers that want to cash in on this hype.

So the question remains...will this be the last run, and if so, how big?  If not, how many more?  How many opportunities will there be to buy new?  Too many = too many in reseller possession.  But the market is set...I don't see the price tanking unless these become so widespread that the resellers can't keep up (an unlikely situation given the hoard's track record).

The six stages of DS investing...

Complacency - I could be slowing building my inventory of 10188s but they take up a lot of space and I don't have the money to tie up.

Panic - Oh crap 10188 is showing sold out! Lube up the CC, Ima' get 'em while they're hot!

Denial - Listen, it's not coming back, 'Sold Out' is just a place holder until they mark it retired. It's like the exact same thing with different letters.

Anger - WTF do they mean they're making more?? It's retired! I'm taking this s**t back!

Depression - Lego investing really sucks, there's no big money anymore and what little I can make is gonna disappear when this bubble pops.

Acceptance - I'm actually happy I got these 10188s. I can make some space at the bottom of my bed and just skip lunch for the next few months.

In My Humble Opinion - I was wrong.  I thought this was done for sure.  I even said so in this forum.   I bought an extra one in the frenzy and though the box is slightly damaged I am going to hold until I see what happens.  It was from Target so I have time to return it.  If the box design is different, piece count changes, something else happens I think I am better holding.  Not like they are offering at a lower price right?    Those crazy kids at Lego!!!

400 is a bit steep even for the script kiddies as you call them. A 400 set isn't going to react the same as a 150 set even under similar conditions.
