Pseudoty Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Here is a Brickset review.Nice review. A lot of usage of the words Tedious and Repetitive when describing the build, will make it easier to keep this one in the box. Quote
diablo2112 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) And poof! Out of stock at Lego, May 29 ship date on SAH.That was fast, wow! Glad I got up early to place my orderAlso, I forgot to order the power functions. Darn. Just placed a 2nd order; the AAA-battery box is backordered to mid-June; medium motors are available now. DenJ91 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) I'm sold on this set. I didn't like it at first but now I love it. I do agree with the review about the colors. I don't mind the purple gondola's but what about the green...seems like just a few pieces to easily switch, I just wonder if they make those pieces in other colors like red to swap out. The review also states 12 minifigures, and wanted 24, but really there are just 10. 10 seems like a good amount, they probably want you to buy more minifigures. can always do the build 3 thing at the stores to add more characters or I'm sure we all have lots of mini's sitting around from different series. hot dog guy would be fun to sit in front walking around for example. micbelt Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 the ferris wheel is already back ordered until end of may Quote

I recommend purchasing a rechargeable battery pack and adapter as it makes charging a lot easier if you have multiple PF sets. Quote

kenchu2000 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Will this set be available at Lego store today? or only online? Quote
areyounormal Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Anyone buying the FW tonight? I was hopping for a good poly promo like they did with FM to appear in my bag upon checkout, but I guess Lego knows they have a winner here so no need to throw away money. Probably have to wait until June 1st for Winter Soldier.Yeah I am also waiting for the winder soldier polybag, even if it's back ordered still should be able to order it and I don't mind waiting for this set. I actually wouldn't be able to build it until I find room to display it anyways Quote

That's awesome, thank you for that. Would be so easy to switch out colors whenever you felt like it even if just to change things up from time to time. Can always have and go back to set colors. Seems like the side pieces come in way more colors and the top dish mostly only has darker colors, not very bright and colorful. But good to see options!! Quote

Quacs Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 In hand - can't wait to build, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. i am envious of anyone holding sealed boxes of Grand Carousel. Paired with the Mixer, Ferris Wheel and the upcoming Jokerland, the Grand Carousel would make one helluva amusement park...I have a feeling we'll see more appreciation for GC. 4 Quote
Wazzapova Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Hi all. Firstly, I'm wondering why so many people are surprised that some of the build is "repetitive", "boring" etc. We know it's a Ferris Wheel, right people? There's an equal amount of everything everywhere. Lol. I have a question. I just bought the Ferris Wheel this weekend and finished it today after about 6 hours of build. When there are no minifigures in the gondola, some of my gondolas "scrape" along the landing platform slightly and sometimes hit the platform and causes the gondola to tip. Has this happened to anyone else? How do you fix it? For some of the gondolas, I've placed a minifigure on one side of the gondola to compensate for the scraping due to weight distriubution, but I hate the scraping! What do I do? Quote
Popular Post Quacs Posted May 18, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 18, 2015 In case anyone wanted to see the set in relation to modulars and/or the Fairground mixer, here's our summer display- 12 Quote
tacsniper Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 ^ all it needs now is some led lights on the ferris wheel 1 Quote
jgschmieg3 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Fun build! The kids love it! It is one big SOB. Quote
DenJ91 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Where can I get some nice minifigures to add to this set? Ones with nice newer prints, not old school figures or cheesy ones, newer hairstyle pieces etc. Similar to the ones that come with the set and modulars for example. I feel like the set could add at least 6-8 more figures in gondolas and or in line. There is the option at Lego stores with the build a figure but they are $10 for 3 figures and that will add up quickly. Ebay seems to have generic ones and fake ones so not finding many good ones. I'd like some cute (yes I used the word cute) kid figures, some adults, maybe some cool characters that would fit in nicely to add to the overall scene. Edited May 28, 2015 by DenJ91 Quote

There are some neat kid minifigures inside there with an icecream. Quote

But yes, similar kid figures like that would be great. 1 Quote
