henrysunset
I just completed some in-depth analysis of the various sets in the LEGO Architecture series - based on the new feature of Brickset to track inventory at LEGO.com EU.I found that the lower-priced sets are selling at higher volume, which is pretty much to be expected, but the more costly sets are clearly selling well enough to contribute well in terms daily sales ( Edited April 3, 2015 by henrysunset
10230
Something that might seriously screw these numbers is that while lower-price sets are readily available at a lot of places, the higher priced sets are not. Even when looking at the US where you can get every architecture set at a B&******, the studio is the only one you cannot get with a "typical" discount. That alone might make people not buy it there, but at lego.com directly. The B&****** membership discount is about double VIP, so the only advantage of B&****** are the GCs - but then ordered from lego.com your set will most likely be mint, while from a B&****** you most likely have spider damage. Contrast that with a $20 set, which is almost mint on the shelves and you pick the box, and the monthly discounts (usually) work. Why would anyone who can buy at B&****** get this from lego.com. The overall sales on the smaller sets are likely a lot higher than assumed from the numbers alone. Edited April 3, 2015 by 10230
Val-E
Studio is easily available in online shops here and Amazon.de was selling it for 20% off a couple of weeks back
fossilrock
I have a feeling in the US that this data will be quite different. For example, I think the White House and Space Needle would be above the curve, while Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower would fall a bit.
