Quacs Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I'm envisioning something like this scene with a few nests of hay dotted around for the RoboChicken coop... Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 I'm not sure if this is the right thread for the following MOC. It is a Palace Cinema with alternate movie posters from movies like Forrest Gump, Thor, LOTR, and many others.Designer: Johan the YellowheadName: Alternate Palace Cinema Movie PostersThose are perfect. They look exactly like the source material only with the exception of the minfigures. Very nicely and artistically well done. Quote

Legolo Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Another Technic MOC. I came across on BrickTechnic. It's from Cedric2010 It's a beet stripper (not sure how it's called in English) "Ropa Euro Tiger V8-3" and it's amazingly detailed. If UCS would exist in Technic, that would definitely be a UCS. Here is the video. This impressive MOC must be seen in action to understand the prowess behind it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=EKY_lA4so_U And some pictures below. Here is the actual truck An here are some of the MOC of Cedric2010. Almost everything works and move like in the real one... impressive. I know some people will say "so what is just a farming machine". Maybe, but for me it's also a huge challenge to make such a detailed and working MOC. And achieving something like that impose some respect IMHO, at least for those of us who like Technics Quote
Quacs Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 That's incredible, and to think it has all the function of the real thing is amazing. What a piece of art... Quote
justafrog Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Just completed this morning. Comments welcome, just be aware I cry easily. Mods, if I break any rules along the way on these please let me know, as I'm not trying to sneak in advertising, I'm just a proud MOC-momma. 6 Quote

That was the very core behind having this thread in the first place. You could also create a gallery of your own and post your creations in that as well. It gives people a more direct opportunity to leave comments and thumbs up your design. "MOC-momma".... That's a good one! Quote
justafrog Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Oh, thanks for the tip on the gallery, I'll have to look into that. Quote

Quacs Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 My sausage fingers accidentally -1ed justafrog's picture post. could someone +1 it for me? Much obliged. Justafrog, well done! I love it - the stickers provide some nice realism too. Great job. Quote
justafrog Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Thanks, everyone, I appreciate the kind words! The stickers were the tough part because I'm not a decal-creating genius like my husband is a moc-creating genius (the entire structural design is his, the decals are mostly-mine with a great deal of input from him and our daughters, and a great deal of help from a couple of toy dealers and decal-sellers I am acquainted with.) justafrog Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Those are awesome! And that Steampunk style vehicle gives me all kinds of ideas -- I'll have to mention it to my daughter, artist and steampunk fan, and see what her active brain comes up with. Quote
Quacs Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Here's the next entry - meet the next TechChicken (yup, the name has changed) crew member - Junior! Here are a few pictures: From the front From the back With the crew Here's a link to the gallery: 1 Quote
justafrog Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Love it! What a great, creative theme you have there! Quote
Quacs Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Thanks for the kind thoughts...I've thought about writing a couple of short stories around these characters, and then posting one of them on CUUSOO with pics of the crew. I also want to do a scene for the crew - I was thinking of an interior of the TechCoop. As with so many other things though, so many plans, so little time... Quote

porkchop Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Love the iron man one above - so cool!! Also the DDR one is adorable. Cool builds. Quote
vincevaughn Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Hey, it's Sheldon from Garfield and Friends! Ha Ha...I totally thought the same thing Quote
Quacs Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Ha Ha...I totally thought the same thing I didn't even realize it until you posted that, but it's eerily similar. I suppose putting the fried egg staff in his hand may differentiate him, but yeah he's pretty darn close. Quote
Guest eightbrick Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Matija, the guy who submitted the Cuusoo Ancient Civilizations idea (http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/18259), has some awesome MOCs on his flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/matijagrguric/ Beautiful work, his architectural prowess is inspiring!
