Frogger21
I'm back again. Haha. I am working on the Drive Thru feature right now and I have searched around the Internet but cannot seem to find out if there is a tag I can put in which will automatically just put the tracking number I have put in the tracking number field on order page into the drive thru so I don't have to. Anyone know of a tag that can do this for me? Thanks! Edit: Like how you can put the grand total tag into the invoice and it will be there when you go to send the invoice without having to type anything. DadsAFOL
Try this... <ORDERTRACKNO-EQ:Y> The tracking information for your order can be found here: http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInternetWeb/InterLabelInquiry.do?&strOrigTrackNum=<ORDERTRACKNO> Please remember, the USPS does not always provide information while your package in in transit. </ORDERTRACKNO-EQ:Y>
Frogger21
So a Chinese guy messaged me and asks if I can print off his Chinese name and address and stick it on next to the English shipping label because it will make delivery quicker. Anyone know if this is ok? I don't mind doing it as long as it won't mess something up.

Just did it today, coincidentally.
billybell991
I've been attempting to sell used sets. So far I've found my local Kijiji to be fruitless. Ebay, I've started with and the extra costs and such are killing me. Does anyone have any experience with selling complete sets on Bricklink and how it compares to those 2 other methods? Also, bonus question, I'm in Canada...do you think Canadians are more apt to pay a bit more to buy from Canadian Bricklink stores? Seems like the Canadian sellers' prices are often quite a bit higher than American and other International ones (exchange rate taken into account). Most people are looking for "deals" but don't give up, there are some buyers who will find you if you're selling desirable sets.Selling used sets on eBay is a challenge and condition is everything. Make sure you take great pictures and describe them appropriately.I've purchased a few used sets over the years off Bricklink and I'd say _some_ Canadian buyers would be willing to pay a small premium for the right used sets. It really depends on what kind of used sets you are selling though. Personally, for cheaper sets I'd be more than willing to buy from the US and pay the charges when it gets to my door if it saves me a buck or two. For larger sets (say a modular) I always check out the Canadian sellers first.Just be careful as there are a few Canadian bricklink sellers who price their sets quite high. There is one in particular that I've purchased some rare stuff from who has all sorts of "common" sets for ridiculous prices. My guess is that repeat business is their goal. Don't use them as a guide - use the smaller sellers as a comparison as I'm guessing you'll be a small seller too.And remember.. LEGO is valuable but it's not gold. I think some people expect to make a million bucks on their used police station and it's not going to happen.
chinothegeeko
Is there a way to do a mass update on parts pricing without going through them. I don't like using the past 6 month sales avg. since items trend all over the place. Am I missing an app, program, something obvious that does this automatically? legowalker
Did they update the lego website? I remember being able to pick-a-brick by the model selected. Now I don't see anywhere where I can select the set model and then pick-a-brick by the model set. 10230
I didn't do this in pick-a-brick, but you should be able to do it in bricks & pieces. (Yes, you can order loose bricks using two different ways from Lego).

TomOOO
HiI am fairly new here (only been around about 1 year), and have sold a small number of items on bricklink (A small investment trying to pay for my own Lego). At this time no-one has given me feedback on the things I sell though I try very hard to package up and do a good job. I have a number of buyer feedback though which is a start. Is there a polite way of asking buyers to provide feedback that won't elicit bad feedback, just wondering - it is very difficult to sell without it . Thanks

I think it should be compulsory to leave feedback once you've received the items. I always leave sellers feedback.

Not going to generate a bunch of feedback but it will help remind the people who actually like to leave feedback.

ThanksFor bricklink, I click the package symbol on the orders received page and it send an automated email (you can change it however you like) saying their order has been shipped and asking them to leave feedback once they check the order over. Seems to help a bit.
Thumper
When I first started on eBay and brick link, I would message my buyers to provide positive feedback so other buyers knew how much my buyer enjoyed their item and service received. Not going to generate a bunch of feedback but it will help remind the people who actually like to leave feedback.I wouldn't do that now adays (messaging your buyers), you're likely to get non-positive in return for nagging.I've 95% feedback left from buyers & I'm even one of those that make it clear that I wait for the buyer to post first (that's a long discussion not to go into here as it's entirely defensible from either perspective). What I do is return a 10% coupon back to the buyer after they have posted +ve feedback - this knocks the fence sitters towards +ve & away from neutral or nothings & nearly %40 of the coupons are used by return visitors before they expire - return customers are the gold you're digging for since they are usually proven trustworthy, you know their address is good, they are so much more forgiving when you goof-up & once a customer has some loyalty with you you almost get to know what they are looking for & can steer your inventory to accommodate them much more efficiently.when you are just starting out - just buy your feedback up to 30 or 40 or so & if you have sufficient inventory you'll find the orders flow much more... find a store that promotes itself as always leaving feedback or take advantage of the shops that are known to leave feedback first (you can find them easily enough in the forums). just place tiny minimum orders from several shops, couple bucks in parts +letter mail & you're good to go - just drop the parts back into your inventory & in the end for say $30 bucks you have lots of trustworthiness promotional value.

ThanksOver 5 years, we get 77% of buyers that leave feedback on BL. Feedback will come so don't sweat it. Just keep doing a good job on your orders. Use the drive thru "it shipped" message when you ship. Make sure you are leaving feedback for your buyers when you ship as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.I'm pretty new to Bricklink, but I always wait until the buyer has confirmed they have received the order. That way, if there are problems or they try to mess with me, I haven't already committed good feedback (when they didn't deserve it in the end). At that point, usually them getting notified that I provided good feedback is a nudge to them to do the same.
JosephMali
How do I order 4508261: clear glass For Frame 1X4X6 on Bricklink? I want to order it for the FB, but it is not part of the inventory and I can't seem to find another way to order a new one.

DadsAFOL
Thanks. How did you find it? Typed "4508261" in the search box at the top of the page. (Searching catalog). :) BL actually has most element IDs cross referenced. You can also search the element ID on brickset (search "parts") and see an image that will also show you the mold number (which is what you see primarily as the BL catalog). If the mold number from brickset doesn't work on BL search, another search option would have been to look at the inventory for FB since you know what set it came from. Happy hunting! Huskers1236
Is it just me or is the quality control on Bricklink going down? I swear anytime I buy a used part I get something that has been drug behind a car. I don't mind general use on a brick, but dents and scratches should not be sold or marked as such. Got 3 orders in today. 1 good, 1 missing pieces, 1 with wrong pieces. There's no way I would sell half the crap that comes to me in the mail. I got a stickered piece last week that had hair in it. WTF?!?!
