Here's the official designer video:

I think the large baseplate displays all the pieces with stickers while the much smaller one is every printed element. I figured all the 2x2 tiles, soda cans, squishee bottles, and other small stuff would be printed. I am guessing the Krusty-O's (something I missed before) are printed too. Well Homer, Bart, and Marge are the same from Series 1 except missing whatever parts came with them in the Minifigures line. The coffee pots are put together in a simply effective way and very nice indeed.

Well...I have already notified wifey that her computer desk has to be cleaned out soon to make room for Springfield construction...She was not amused but that is the only spot available at the moment. The Shield Hellicarrier is already on the dining table...

Don't act surprised when you get your credit card receipt this month mentioning 1000

Now I am waiting for a modular convenience store with similar details. I am not a fan of Simpsons, but would welcome a detailed store any time.

That will be cool! A 7-11 in the Creator line :D

In that case, you'll save a ton buying this, selling the exclusive simpsons figures, and perhaps the unique simpson details (stickers, printed elements, etc. Keep the shop for yourself.

The design of this is very far from the vintage style of modulars plus the colour palette is too cartoonish. I would never put this into a modular street. It doesn't fit.

I'm thinking a Krusty Burger restaurant would fit in better with these size of buildings

That could be The Simpsons set for 2017 (assuming the line continues). Honestly we need a fast-food joint for the city, modular or regular.

When I bought the house there was a rumor that there's a plan in motion to have Burns' power plant - depending on how the other sets did on the market. That set would be awesome. And huge. And expensive. And awesome.

Anyone think the kwik E mart is replacing the house, or will the house be around for a while?

imo that would be foolish of LEGO to do. Simpson fans will want to create a Springfield "scene".

I don't know about replacing, but I did notice the simpson house is out of stock until September, which is something I have never seen before.

Where is it out of stock until September?
