Bernard74 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Looks nice but agree with everything said about the extensive use of stickers. BOO, HISS!! Quote
MartinP Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 The set looks amazing, but there are so many stickers. My skills for applying stickers is not the best, so that is a major problem for me. Other than that, it looks like a great set to be displayed. Quote
Scissorino Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 The amount of pieces needed in each set surely would have made it worth while to print them. Quote

Indeed. I would not like putting all those stickers on the set, I would prefer for them to be printed. There are so many stickers, that it would be worthwhile for TLG to have printed most of the bricks. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 In-freaking-credible. Hate the stickers but love the design! Although now I'm confused. He said it has a lot of parts in medium azure blue, I thought they had a color specific to the Maersk line called "Maersk Blue". If you look it up on BrickLink, it's there. So I would guess they discontinued that color? On 9/28/2013 at 8:56 PM, Ed Mack said: I love it. I would love to see a whole theme of different ship types. The Titantic would be awesome.Titantic, you say. Too bad Lego won't do it cause Cobi already did. That's probably the only good build to come out of that knockoff brand's doors. Quote
jaisonline Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 i won't buy it for building due to the amount of stickers. hopefully, enough people will complain and Lego will do something about the stickers. not sure though. Quote
Diabolos80 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I can think of 67 models I'd rather Lego released before another maersk freighter... But it's pretty cool. For a big ship full of gray boxes... Quote

There are a lot of things I would prefer too. TLG has made a lot those freighters and I really do not one to see another yet. Quote
M4x18 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Sorry if this has been posted before, but I was sooooooo excited yesterday - and still am - about this beast. Quote
M4x18 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 One word that comes to mind when watching the video is... STICKERS Quote

CNH1974 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 hehe, we need pictures of people's efforts in putting on the stickers. Quote
M4x18 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 It's a sexy ship... Stickers make it Barbara Bush sexy... Quote
@rtisan Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Excellent ship! I`ll buy one for sure for my personal collection. Would be nice if the pieces were printed rather than stickers, but one can only dream. Quote
Blackjack Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I saw this on FB last night and really like it, though I won't be buying one. Quote

Huskers1236 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 While this ship isn't really my cup of tea, I will get 1 or 2 because the Maersk line does well. The stickers are ridiculous, just stupid. I realize that they are cheaper than printing, but when you have dozens per set, surely the shear amount they would print would bring the cost down for that. They will need to produce so many extra sticker sheets because everybody will screw them up and need another one. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 The stickers may put me off but, if I did get some, I'll wait until Amazon have them cheap in 2yrs or so. Quote
kandj999 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 This certainly looks really good. Deem to become another classic? I' ll probably need to revisit the post about Maersk LEGO sets and its performance to make my final decision. Quote
brickolodon Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 true - classic set my 1.5c, all Maersk ships sold out really quick. get it earlier....rather than later. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 If LEGO bother read forums like this, I expect that they'll use printed bricks on the production version. Quote

boliramirez Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I was killing some time browsing through Lego's LEGO Shop at Home and found this new set due January 2014. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Maersk-Line-Triple-E-10241 What are your impressions on this set? do you think it will be a winner as an investment? I think is the coolest maersk ship to date, and the price seems about right... what do you guys think? Quote
