Mindbender Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) So I bought some of those 2x2 buildable bricks at the last LEGO Shop at Home sale. You know, these ones:http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Buildable-Brick-Box-2x2-40118 I bought them with the intention of getting my QFFL on and listed them locally for $20. They sat, and sat and sat. No interesting bites. A few offers of $10...which would kind of defeat the purpose of the QFFL. Major bummer right? I dropped the price to $15. They sat, and sat. I then had an epiphany. I opened the pristinely sealed boxes, opened the polybags and dumped the contents in a gallon ziploc bag. I took the minfigure and accessories out and a few black plates. I then relist this gallon bag of assorted black and red Legos locally for $20 as "assorted Lego pieces, a little under 200 pieces." It sold within the hour. Luck you say. The right person just happened along you say? A few seconds later I sold one of the sealed boxes. To the same person. For $15 (I forgot to take the original listing down). The lesson I learned? Sometimes the lego pieces are more valuable than the set. Edited February 4, 2015 by Mindbender Quote
