holiday demand seems to be decimating amazon's stock - sellers down to 76 on the primary listing - lowest FBM $257.  getting to the seller's market point of appreciation now where things can go up quickly.  i'm not afraid of a tan -colored tropical flavored AT-AT having any effect on the  price of the OT Empire Strikes Back version.  ebay price is creeping up now $230-240 with shipping fees under completed sales.

down to 48 sellers under the primary listing and cheapest FBM price is $296.50.    C'mon people boost your prices - its seller's market time.

we are 111 FBA sets away from breaking the $300 mark (which isn't much). Once we pass that hurdle price jumps to $325 for FBA.

Will AT-ACT do any harm to this set?

I'm working on a Hoth MOC. I personally wouldn't buy the At-ACT. The act has yellowish sides. That wouldn't go with Hoth.

That being said the average person won't care "oh cool a different at at why would I pay 300 when I can get one for 110"

As stated like 3-4 pages back if I had any I would be out 90% of my stock by now.

closing in on $300, the average person already isn't 75054's buyer.

to a Star Wars LEGO fan, an AT-ACT is not going to be acceptable.

I'm hoping we get an AT-ACT because that virtually assures no AT-AT remake in 2018 which will be the longest interval ever in 1000 piece AT-AT's .  That can only mean one thing for 75054's value.

An average person would only buy Lego on discount. The one who is willing to pay the premium must be AFOLs who aged >35, probably.

To me, I didn't get an 10179. It's damn cool and really wanna own one someday.

If it's not going to be re-made, the only way to get it is from the market and paying a premium is unavoidable.

$300??

where?

I see 200-225 on Ebay all day but after shipping and fees sellers may net $200

I have sold two of mine this week locally for $200 cash, each.

(Bought in for $60 on bf last year)

Sold my used one for $175 plus shipping.  AT-AT is probably my favorite Star Wars vehicle so it was hard to do.  With that said, I think it's value is going to peak over the next few weeks.  If Lego releases this "AT-ACT" (which is almost a guarantee) it will overall hurt 75054's value.  Way too similar and most kids will want it instead because of the new film.

Kids aren't the ones that would buy 75054. As stated a couple of pages ago, its AFOL's in their 30's that want an original trilogy set. If it's as different as the one in the MOC picture then it won't significantly hurt the price of 75054.

That is a wrong assumption.  The two I sold in the last few weeks were parents for their kids, per email conversation.  So, facts matter.

This is more true than people realize.  I have had similar conversations with customers who stated the sets were gifts for their kids.  If AT-ACT comes out next year and is $120 - $150 for more pieces and minifigs, I can't see AT-AT holding its current $250 eBay value.
