What was your experience? I didn't use the set's stickers, made my own. I'll explain in the blog how to do that. It's a bit more work but saves the precioussss sticker sheet... and the stickers won't crumble after a year of display. In case you want to sell your set you can tell the buyer you've applied your own stickers, they can either be removed or left in place. In any case he or she will be glad you kept the original sticker sheet intact. Regarding the stickers on the sheet... it's 23 pieces. That says it all, really; consider them as little breaks during the long and exciting build. Quote
Popular Post exciter1 Posted February 14, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 14, 2016 Our nook is now being taken over again as a play area. We built 75135 - Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor today. We aren't original trilogy snobs in this house. My son still prefers "The Clone Wars" over "Rebels", but we do pick and choose story arcs. 11 Quote
BrickLegacy Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Nice collection! Is that your expanded Malibu Mansion in the background? Quote

Yes, the nook table now goes from Mega Bloks Halo on the left to Star Wars and then on to Marvel Avengers. Each get about equal play time. Quote
midbenne Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 First Technic set built...pretty intricately designed and I am quite impressed at all the moving parts. Especially how they all work in combination to both steer and raise/lower the bed of the truck. 7 Quote

Roy vd M. Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I'm not sure, either this, Slave I or Fire Brigade. Can't really choose. Quote
Popular Post nolanfan34 Posted February 15, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2016 Busted open one of my 10240 Red-5 X-Wing's last night. Wanted to build before it went up in value too much. :-) Loved the first 5 bags, the latter ones get a little repetitive with the wings/engines, but what can you do. The cockpit stickers are absolutely one of the cruelest things Lego has ever done. I can see why it came with two of the same sticker sheet. I absolutely love it though, it is a brilliant model. 11 Quote
uaford Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Well, I got my 5-year old son the 75072 ARC-170 Starfighter Micro and my 7-year old daughter the 41032 Friends First Aid Jungle Bike for Valentines Day, so not the most challenging of builds today. Still, couple of nice little sets to go with their Star Wars and Friends sets, respectively. My son definitely sent the ARC-170 flying about 10 feet through the air and only one piece shot off...so I count it as a win. It's always fun to see my little people putting sets together. 1 Quote
Dr. Brick Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Finally got to build the Parisian restaurant. Had it for several years just never got to build. I have built all the modulars and I think this one is my favorite build. And I had some Lego cake afterwards. Up next, Palace Cinema, Detective Office and Brickbank. I'll post most pictures when done. And I think I have another greengrocer. Edited February 15, 2016 by Dr. Brick 1 Quote
Manse1001 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I've just finished building the SC tonight and I have to say this is one impressive set!! The detail of the model is unbelievable, hats of to the designer!! IMO it's well worth the USC badge. I also built the EV village a few weeks back, and again IMO a very impressive set, great detail and a very enjoyable build. For investment purposes I definitely thinking about picking up one of each for the vault, after building them both and seeing them on display and can't believe any future investor won't want these in their collection after they retire. 3 Quote

Popular Post Bold-Arrow Posted February 18, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 18, 2016 All done . Need a cigarette and I don't even smoke. build was the most challenging that I have encountered . Parts 1 & 2 get things going with things getting really interesting in parts 3 ( gear box/back ) and definitely 4 (arm) and 5 (front) . Part 6 is a breeze and a good cool down . It does get frustrating at some points as is the case with most advanced Technic sets . There always seems to be the inevitable mess up where a gear doesn't click into place or something is not aligned correctly. Atleast for me anyways. The end product is amazing as display piece and everything works as advertised. Front of the truck is sure to start a conversation or two. Highlight being watching the arm come to life and maneuvering it . Drawbacks : -I would have gladly paid a little extra to have a small engine added - power function doesn't include the tires . 9/10 18 Quote

So much LEGO, so little time. 3 Quote
Popular Post exciter1 Posted February 20, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 20, 2016 75137 - Carbon-Freezing Chamber I might be in the minority, but this is an enjoyable little build and I see potential in this set. Nice minifigures, no stickers, good build, good parts and playability. I plan on building on to this quite a bit, with scaffolding around the outside and hopefully making it a big enough chamber to allow for the Luke/Vader confrontation. They fit quite a bit into a $25 set here. 10 Quote

Battrax Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) The two Audi just came in today. Ended up immediately sitting down to put together the R18 e-tron quattro instead of actually getting going with my day. Presented "in-context". I had to shove off to the tiny parc ferme area the one of the two Porsche so I can have the R18 passing the GTE-Pro Ferrari from last year's wave. Some nice multi-angle build ideas in this one to achieve the very challenging controur's of today's LMP1 class cars. Considering the scale, not at all bad. Looking forward to the Porsche 919 set! (click to enlarge) I'll skip the pickup trucks, Camaros, Mustangs and Corvette of this year's wave though, no interest in the "civilian" vehicles. But as an Endurance racing nutter, I am happy Lego caters to my interests so well. Edited February 20, 2016 by Battrax 7 Quote
exciter1 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Lobot needs Bespin like Bespin needs Lobot. 9678 - Twin-pod Cloud Car & Bespin (anyone ever seen a single-pod cloud car?) I now see Boba Fett's jet pack is a little wonky in the picture. You can tell my son had a hold of him. 6 Quote

IMO it's way more interesting than normal studded Lego. 3 Quote
