Popular Post nolanfan34
I guess this counts as building. Have to share the story. My grandfather passed away last year. He liked to build model airplanes and things but had never mentioned Lego at all. So I get a package in the mail from my grandmother that I opened today, addressed to my kids. Inside is a note that says grandpa had bought a couple of sets at one point to tinker with, and she thought my kids would put them to good use now. One set is 4095 from the Inventor series (which my son is furiously trying to put together now). Has some sort of battery pack recorder thing we have to figure out. Very cool. The other set was a yellow and chrome broken mess...that I realized was the 10026 UCS Naboo Starfighter. Now rebuilt, 100% complete with nameplate and everything. Unfortunately no instructions - had no idea how expensive those suckers are! Only 3 on Bricklink for like $90 each lol. Anyway I have never liked that Naboo Starfighter, but it certainly will hold a new place of honor in our house now. :-)

She also has Santas visit and the the one with the house and snowman out. She's feeling ambitious tonight.. I'll be impressed if she gets these all done before midnight. lol She puts them on display at work, the other employees love her office. I legoized her.. lol Lol, I'm totally an Emmet. I do the build by the book. I organize all the pieces from 1 bag at a time. I get all the pieces together that I need for each step so I know I am not missing any. My husband will open every bag and dump it all in one big pile and then sort of speed through it. But he typically has to backtrack several times because he missed a step. My daughter will do whatever way we are doing it, but I think she prefers my way. ;-) She is definitely more of a Wyldstyle though when she builds on her own without us being involved. On her way to Master Builder. I didn't build anything today, but she built Brer Fox's house from a picture on the DVD cover. Brian Briggs
Today I built 75099 Rey's Speeder which was an enforced purchase to fullfill the condition for some coupon. This set was the first TFA set I opened and the build itself was more interesting than I imagined. I only noticed the hidden compartment during the construction of the speeder as I didn't have a closer look at the set before. My guess is that some of the TFA sets will become more appealing after watching the movie and seeing all these vehicles and spaceships in action.

Popular Post Kevink24
Not sure where to post this as this is not an official set nor is it a MOC (as I did not create this build)…but I purchased the Starlight Train Station from BrickBuildersPro http://www.brickbuilderspro.com/ (I need to make sure to give credit to them because they do great work) about a year ago. We were planning on a trip and my youngest had never been to an airport or on a plane. So, we Bricklink’ed all the parts and customized/stole/borrowed others ideas to change the train station into an airport in our Lego city. We were able to explain what was going to happen on our trip to the airport step by step, and I think the airport turned out nicely. (We have not fully customized the entire interior yet, but that work will be done over the next year). I do not remember the number of pieces, the cost (thank goodness) or the amount of time involved. But we enjoyed the process. PS - Sorry for my lack of photo skills... I was going to say you can't call it a proper airport without the obligatory LEGO helicopter in there....then I scroll down and "Whoomp, there it is". I know of the original design which is good as the train station it was meant to be however I will say I think your airport motif fits the layout better. Nicely done.
Rodeogeorge
First time building fire brigade. It was a fun build. Decent display. I'm spoiled having started with Parisian restaurant. PR is still my favorite modular. My three year old boy, however, loves the fire truck and garage door.

The garage door... you'll quickly learn how to reassemble it without taking apart the entire first floor.
Quacs
Built the Temple of Airjitsu and Sensei Wu's Dragon. First, ToA is an incredible set. I can't believe it doesn't get more pub for the incredible display it is. It's truly a breathtaking set, and one that deserves a place among the best of the best. Sensei Wu's Dragon is also a great build. I have built almost all of the Ninjago Dragons, and this one is great. The brick built head really shines, and the minifigures are excellent. Plus, it comes with a husky - an added bonus for an already great set! Both are great sets and highly recommended.
Vodium
Built this little guy today. Almost done bricklinking it. Just missing ropes and a minifig. Just need to increase the ink saturation on my printer the next time I print a sail for it.
Loghamel
In the process of building I-Rex - 75919. My 5 year old will only let me help when he gets in a bind, so we stopped after bag 6 today. About an hour and a half so far. Hoping to finish it off tomorrow.
legomark3
Started the Ewok village today. So far a pretty fun build and lots of play features for the kids.
Zelgazra
Built my first Architecture set today in the Eiffel Tower. Likely crack The Louvre tomorrow. Spent a good many hours in the actual building so that should be a neat one.

A 60061 Airport Fire Tender or 2 would really finish the whole scene off as would a 60082 tow truck taking people´s badly parked cars.
