Finished the Ep 7 Tie Fighter last night.  Since I sold all my OT TIEs without building one I didn't have that to compare to, but I thought it was a decent build, nothing extraordinary, though.  I was under the impression it had dark red accents, not red, so I may change that out as I'm not a huge fan of it.  $70, glad I didn't pay that much as the finished product is your standard TIE Fighter.  Figures are great and the new TIE Pilot with the oxygen hose is fantastic.  History says this will be a good investment but will for sure be re-made within 5 years, so get in and get out with this one.

I have really liked the Ep 7 sets I have built so far.(MF, Poe, TIE, Speeder)  The grey boxes I am not interested in.  Glad Ren will be in a cheaper set next run and I'm sure we'll see Phasma soon enough as well.  I'm just not paying through the nose for a figure that we're going to see a dozen times by the time the trilogy is over.

I built 6955 Space Lock-Up Isolation last night.  This was included in a bulk lot I got off CL.  I have never owned this set or built it and I was a little skeptical about it overall when looking at the instructions.  It is an older space set from 1989.

This is an amazing set!  Not the most detailed, but it has one of the coolest play features I have seen in awhile.  The entire platform/ holding cell/ satellite array pivots and rotates when turning the wheel on the side!  The little cell can fit onto the shuttle and the shuttle can dock on the moving platform.  I can imagine kids playing with this for hours.

Once I get the parts cleaned up I will be posting a YouTube video of it.  Surprisingly there is nothing on YouTube already.

Also built the ep7 tie fighter and I also did not save any OT ties so I kinda felt obligated to buy/build this one for personal use. I had planned on opening 1 OT tie but when the price kept rising, it was too tempting to sell!

My family built days 1-6 last night from the City Advent calendar.  Yeah, I know, but it's been busy around here.

My baby scarfed down her dinner tonight after remembering that it was her turn in the rotation tonight. [Just turned six. Been going to monthly builds since 1.5. Started building by herself at 3. My mini-me.]

Four daughters...I  to thee, milady.

Only one is a teenager so far. I am dreading the day that we have 3 teens fighting over the bathroom every am... One day at a time.

Made the spider man helicopter with my son. Everyone bags on the helicopters but this one is pretty cool. Had to grab a power man before set retires. Could be a sleeper set, my son got the helicopter and spider man, dad got green goblin, MJ and powerman. Everyone wins

Finished up Sandcrawler after spending a couple evenings on it.  Sooooo  much brown.  Much better than 10144 and way more sturdy.  I don't totally love how they filled in the spaces on the sides between the big panels but it worked.  I don't know if I was tired when building, but I messed up a few times on the technic stuff and had to rebuild the crane and attached some pins in the wrong spot.  The instructions weren't really clear in a couple spots.  Really like the figures and the updated droids that came with this.  Probably going to crack open a Red 5 next before it gets too expensive for me to willingly break one open and buy one used like I'll likely have to do with 10225 (R2)

We finished putting together all our Christmas sets. This is a new tradition for us this year and I am really excited about it. My husband is like, "they only add one set a year though, right?". Sure, just one set a year (plus the little scene sets and a polybag or two and maybe some older sets that I don't have yet).

I did build the new X-Wing and the new TIE-Fighter.

Must say that the new X-Wing looks way better than expected and the "bringing my wings into attack positions" mechanism gave me more fun than it should have done ^.^ Also firing these missiles has been fun *g*

Thanks to 4 missiles and the rubber band mechanism the x-wing is superior to the TIE-Fighter as a toy. The X-Wing is also worth its money though! Both are very nice builds!

Finally built Santa's Workshop. I figured since I'll be sitting on these for decades I might as well get used to building a new one every year until I'm social security eligible.

Very cool build. I liked the details on Santa's sleigh and his reading chair. Overall a very cool set that we enjoyed building as a family. I wish it was bigger but for $70, great value.

It usually takes her a bit longer than most when it comes to building lego sets. She organizes everything in piles, picks the pieces up she drops all the time, and studies the directions to make sure Lego isn't messing with her and the pieces actually go where the directions say. LOL     My daughter and I sit there and laugh when she isn't looking. lol   The GF enjoys  building as much as we do, so it's all good.

I'm surfing the web and watching ELF at the current moment.  She doesn't bother or nag me, she's a great girl, she puts up with my many hobbies, and loves that I'm into legos, she even buys me some.. One of my Christmas Presents Last yeas was a Batman Tumbler from her, I was like hell yea!!!   She's a keeper..

An Emmet. hahahaha.

She completed it, 50 mins later, it's done.. Now shes onto the train. She also has Santas visit and the the one with the house and snowman out. She's feeling ambitious tonight.. I'll be impressed if she gets these all done before midnight. lol

She puts them on display at work, the other employees love her office. I legoized her.. lol
