What LEGO set did you build today?

It's my favorite as well.  GG held that spot until I built it as well.  Looks like your Lego town has a dinosaur problem.

Yea dinocat is good to knock the peak off the Cinema once a week or so. The tower on the CC has somehow escaped his wrath so far.

First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter. From what I can remember the build is very similar to the UCS TIE, the wings use the same build technique. I would definetly be disappointed in the UCS TiE if I had built this one first. I like the printed cockpit pieces and only 3 stickers that I did not use. Get it on sale or TRUT as it is overpriced.

I'm glad you warned me.  I don't have either TIE, but I've been considering the UCS one for a little while.  I'd been considering the TFA TIE (only on sale/TRUTH).  Sounds like I only want one or the other.

Aviation Adventure (31011)

First off, I had no intention to build this when I bought it, but for $34 (before SYW points), I couldn't resist. I'd been noticing this set for a while but couldn't justify it at MSRP. I'll try to sum it up...Holy fun!

Obviously, I built the plane version and I love the dimensions on this little guy. It even sits "right" (you can change the angle as the rear wheel is adjustable). The color scheme is, well, blue, yellow and white, but that just makes it feel more like a classic LEGO set for me. When I built as a kid, my creations were always multi-colored out of necessity, and it just adds to the charm. Very solid fuselage and heavy for it's size. The landing gear is a bit flimsy when extended, but functional if you want to leave it down...OR, put it up and swoosh it!! Problem solved.

The build itself was really fun and I'm looking forward to building the B and C models when I bring myself to breaking this one down. A lot of time is spent on the plate-heavy body, but I found myself building faster as I got closer to the end. It could only have been better if I'd timed fitting the last piece with the climax of "White Rabbit."

This was the first set I bought as an investment, and keep looking at the sealed box in my closet begging me to build it. Your post inspired me, I just picked up a used one on EBay. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is the first time I've ever posted in this thread, but I feel a little like a kid in a candy store. I found myself an early Christmas present! Used on Craigslist...$700 with box and instructions. Was only missing about 12 pieces which we easily found in our collection. Out of 5922...that's pretty good! The light is nothing original, but really enhances nighttime display! Sits quite comfortably next to the Eiffel Tower. Now I just need the GC!

What type of light did you use?  That's a great idea and I'll have to try it whenever I break mine out again.

My boys had a night light that they weren't using. So I bought a LED bulb to replace the incandescent so that heat wouldn't be an issue. We routed the cable through the back, placed the light in the large center void, hooked it up to a timer, and voila! Simple....yet effective.

Nice.  Thanks.   Will try this next time I have it displayed.  I don't have much "really big set" space so right now the Eiffel Tower is up.

Started the PR last night while handing out candy & just finished up. The detail on this is amazing. Of the 4 modulars I have done this is easily the nicest. Pains me to say that as I was determined to keep the GG as my fav but I just can't do it.

very nice!

I don't know how you feel about the Dectective's Office, but together with the PR it's my favorite right now. I haven't build the PR myself yet but I just bought it during 2xVIP.

Today I did build The Big Bang Theory.

The minifigs are superb! The set itself not so much. Don't get me wrong, it sure is a nice little set but I just feel as if some things are missing and should have been done better even if that would have meant putting a slightly higher price on it.

I guess once I have the room for it I'll detach the stuff and put it into a modular building probably gonna have to build one just for this set ;-)

The outside is nice enough so I guess it is possible.

The Ultimate 42009 is by far the most complicated build I have ever done.  The creator of this moc is Jurgen Krooshoop and he did a fantastic job.  It is an expensive build with all the PF's.  It has eight motors and two battery boxes.  In the near future, I will also be taking apart the 8043 and building his ultimate version of that model as well.

So... Temple of Airjitsu...

Got one with the recent deal with that free Serpent thingie set. This set is blimmin' GORGEOUS. The details, the building techniques... this deserves to be more popular than the modular buildings, all other things equal.

Love the use of the speargun used as a desk lamp support, the upside-down garage jointed panels for the roofs of the buildings, the way the small curved staircases are build by simultaneously facing three directions. And the end result is breath taking. I don't even care about the minifigs (I'll probably sell them off). Just gorgeous.

Recent build with a shark from the bulk bin.

**How do you add a photo using the mobile app, I have never been successful and have to resort to the desktop version.**

Love the EEE in front of a world map. Good choice.

As for uploading on mobile. I don't think you can. What I do is upload to Imgur, then paste the link here by using the BBCode IMG tag.

Haven't posted in a while, and was running out of things to build. Went on a building frenzy and built all this in the past week!

Can't seem to load the other pics.  Other sets built are Eiffel Tower, Space Needle, Vader, Grievous, Obi-Wan figures, finally the Gingerbread house.
