I do wash all my bulk finds regardless of condition and most of these needed a good hand washing given the nature of the trans parts and some had lots of dust(YUCK!). I suppose that's what I get for bargain shopping, though I don't mind if the price is right Edit: We need an upgrade to a Bucs football Edited March 10, 2021 by BricksBrotha tb12 Quote
BricksBrotha Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 6986 Mission Commander. Baddass set. Surprisingly, the ship holds up well when swooshing. 8 1 Quote

Decided since it was close enough to take the drive. Offered asking price as it seemed worth it. Snapped a picture of the listing when I got back home for memories. They provided no pictures, but It was quite the "hull" Overall from the bulk bin the 3 sets were about 98% complete. Sails for the Pearl and Queen Anne were in good shape. The flagship sails looked like they were used as toilet paper... so aftermarket sails are set to arrive tomorrow. Missing pieces already arrived from Bricklink. Manual missing for the flagship but the other two sets are there. Had this been 15 minutes further I probably would have waited for pictures and ended up in a bidding war. Spent the morning doing some boat restoration. Sails just arrived for the Flagship. I didn't appreciate the size of the Flagship until sitting it next to the Black Pearl. It's a massive boat. I have a hard time opening up sets that have appreciated so much however 🤪 I remember when those were being clearanced for $110. That may have been the last time I would actually call S&H in response to "call for availability". 1 Quote

jdr159 Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 (edited) Finally got the Disney Castle finished today. I enjoyed building it, just fitting it in a night or two at a time here and there. I liked all the extra disney details it had. Hopefully it will last a day or two at least before my cat knocks it down! 😂 Edited March 26, 2021 by jdr159 8 Quote
Popular Post Kevink24 Posted March 27, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 27, 2021 Not sure why I built this in Spring...but, finally built the santa sleigh from #10245 Santa Workshop...and slightly modified it with the Reindeer from 10275 Elf Clubhouse. Also working on a Nativity for the fireplace mantle to go with the Santa sleigh...but, I still need to work on ordering some parts (including finding a different angel and a Lego baby - kind of an important piece to the scene...LOL). 10 Quote

Popular Post brickvoyeur Posted March 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2021 I got home from work Friday to my 4 year old saying "daddy build another pirate ship". Apparently he's addicted now. So I let him pick one out and we built it. Without a doubt the hardest set I've ever built in hard mode. The piece selection is vast (4 inventory pages in the manual) so finding one or two of the low count pieces was quite a pain. 12 Quote

Each time you think it can't get any bigget/taller....it gets bigger/taller. Not sure why value hasn't gone up as It's one of my faves as far as fun/different sets go. 1 Quote

My wife stole my Bonsai and built it when it first came out. Then I came home from work a few days ago and she was working on it again. I asked her "You taking it apart to put in storage?", she replied "Nope, it's spring... time to swap out the green leaves for the pink cherry blossoms". 9 Quote

lazuli16 Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Thinking back on the Brickpicker's history of inappropriate set names/acronyms, I will always remember Escort Girls as never fully living up to its potential. 2 2 Quote
Bricklectic Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 (edited) completed my first lego set build. gave my 3 year old niece the easter carrot house promo set but didnt realize she was too young so i needed to make it myself. her review: she didnt care too much for set in general but became absolutely hysterical discovering the bunny had a tail. my review: thought it would be more sturdy and was slightly disappointed at the fragility of it - it was broken within an hour into pieces. i guess I am pro - kragglizing Edited March 31, 2021 by Bricklectic 1 Quote

Popular Post LegoWalker4 Posted April 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 1, 2021 This morning I built the Rogue Shadow and it was not like most of the other Star Wars builds I have done. The ship is asymmetrical, has a fair amount of internal Technic pieces and took me over three hours to complete, partially because of my curious need to have the Lego logo facing in the same direction as I build (the set has under 500 pieces). I really bought set for the excellent minifigure selection because it includes the exclusive Darth Vader Battle Damaged and Darth Vader's Apprentice, and ended up liking it because it is a unique ship. The set was supposed to be complete per the Craigslist seller: 10-15 pieces missing, about 30 pieces included which did not go with the set (the 6 x 16 light bluish gray plate being the most dumbfounding) and 5 Mega Bloks, definitely the more typical used find for most of us. 10 Quote
oneknightr Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 My son and I completed about 1/3 of the Aston Martin build when we got to this step. I was wondering, "What in the heck is this space in the rear quarter panel for"? Well done Lego. 3 Quote

Special thanks to @Phil B for nudging me to pick it up (got it used, complete with box, for $80). Edited April 2, 2021 by oneknightr 2 Quote
