mizeur Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Bought them for $2.50. Nice little builds. 1 Quote
Popular Post exciter1 Posted January 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 5, 2018 Yeah! Egghead is here! Decided to jump on a price match to Walmart and used a 20% off gift card, so Egghead was $19.20. I had to build him before@Alpinemaps had the chance, so here he is. Cool set and Condiment King is a nice bonus. 12 Quote
Alpinemaps Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Hahahah! Yes, that is awesome! Better than I thought. 1 Quote

speedsausage Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Bag 3 in progress and I have to give my 5 year old props. He’s built most of this, just needs guidance occasionally. 6 Quote
Brian Briggs Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Opened "Clayface Splat Attack" to remove the Batman minifig that's going to be sold on ebay (one TLBM Batman is enough for my collection). Spontaneously decided to build the set. It's a nice build, and I like the parts selection. Stitch acts as a stand-in for Batman to save mayor McCaskill. 8 1 Quote

Popular Post Sandwraith Posted January 12, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 12, 2018 I've had BB8 built for a while now, but i finally finished up "rounding" or "anti-studding" him to better match my rounded dome R2. Didn't turn out as well as R2, but still happy with it. Mostly involved adding small tiles everywhere, but in some cases i did need to take the panels off and modify them a bit to hide some of the bigger studded pieces. 18 Quote

Brian Briggs Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Did some TLBM building. Sets were 70910 Scarecrow Special Delivery and 70901 Mr. Freeze Ice Attack. The Batmen and Scarecrow minifigs were sold some time ago so do not appear in the pics. Overall some nice builds. The mech looks pretty cool for its size. I especially like the pizza delivery vehicle, will be very useful in a city setting. 3 Quote
Brian Briggs Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Finally got around to building 70615 Fire Mech. For me it was a must-buy since I saw the first picture of it leaking. So I really was anticipating the build. To make it short: the set didn't disappoint, in fact it's awesome. The mech is quite big, definitely not feeling small at all. The poseability is good enough for my liking. The only critique I have would be the amount of stickers in the set, especially a few larger ones which are more difficult to apply in my opinion. For the picture I mixed in some 70607 Ninjago City Chase as background scenery, and left a few selected minifigs out. 6 Quote
Sandwraith Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 With all the negativity surrounding the Last Jedi AT-ST set.. i was regretting not picking up the Rogue One AT-ST. Luckily i found it for a little under retail. As with many Lego sets; it was much bigger than i thought and i'm glad i didn't miss out. I don't care for the Baze or Rebel Trooper, so i'll sell them off to offset the cost. Very cool set, a bit big to go next to my AT-AT in the Hoth display, but i'll find a spot. 8 Quote

I built the AT-AT by raskolnikov and the AT-ST looks excellent beside it. 1 Quote

Brian Briggs Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Built another TLBM set today. This time it was 70903 The Riddler Riddle Racer. I enjoyed the build and like the look of the final result. As much as I like the racer I think it's just too big to fit into a regular city setting but the parts should prove useful for future MOCs. The minifigure selection is splendid with Magpie being my personal favorite. I already envision her in a normal city context without the giant shoulder pad. The omnipresent Batman minifig has been sold already as one standard TLBM Batman is more than enough for my collection. 2 Quote
Popular Post odysea11 Posted January 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2018 I went for it.....cracked open one of my Tower Bridges and built the alternate build designed by Lee Inyong. It's a good looking modular, but if you look closely, you can see where he obviously was limited on pieces. For example, the most obvious is the sidewalk not being done in tiles. I am going to tweek the streetscape a little to better flow with my other modulars. There are also some very delicate components as you get deep into the build which add a bit of a challenge. But overall.....I think he did a pretty darn good job at making the most out of what he was provided. Made good use out of one of my shelf-warmers..... 24 1 Quote
Popular Post BillyBricks Posted January 20, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 20, 2018 I realized I've only been sorting bulk and laying out pieces for sets to see what I'm missing without building any sets for months, so I pulled out the pieces for 6278. Along with my pirate ships, this was one of the largest sets I owned in my childhood. I used to make stop motion videos of the islanders against the pirates using a camera that weighed about 10 pounds. There's a VHS tape around somewhere with what could become The LEGO Pirates Movie. I will need to work on the special effects, though. 10 Quote
Popular Post LegoWalker4 Posted January 20, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 20, 2018 (edited) Built the Dragster Transporter set and it was bought for its versatility. So glad I bought a few for investment too. This set seems to be a winner and we are using it as more a heavy cargo transport. We have that one also. ? Edited January 20, 2018 by LegoWalker4 11 Quote

We have that one also. 60151 was even good value at RRP and I got the bulk of mine at -50% along with another 10x from SaH at -30% as soon as I heard about EOL. I think these could reach 1.5x RRP in the UK buy Summer so nearly 3x buy-in, not bad for a 6 month hold. Let's wait and see. I have one in a dinged box so I may as well build it and then sell later on. Quote
Popular Post legorunner Posted January 20, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 20, 2018 Finished this up last week - hands down one of favorite sets, both in terms of the building process as well as the final result. If you are on the fence at all, I highly recommend it! It would be nice if LEGO put out a descent small sail boat to go with this - I have some of the recent Fishing Boats stored away, but somehow one of those just doesn't seem to do this set justice... 12 Quote
Popular Post Gary81 Posted January 24, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 24, 2018 Finally got to put together 21018 UN Headquarters, which I picked up for £10 from a charity shop a few months back. Used, but the box was mint so had every chance - happily it is complete with no yellowing and absolutely mint! Not my thing generally, but it looks rather good ?? 10 Quote
