Fcbarcelona101 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Poe's X-Wing. It's been a long while since I built a non-UCS Star Wars ship and I got to say it is actually better than I expected. Resistance X-Wing is next! 2 Quote

There's a few differences, the cockpit has a slight difference and the aft is built to have a removable hyperdrive unit, but for the most part the same. A few part choices are different. It was actually slightly disappointing to come back and build the Resistance X-Wing set when I remembered the completely undisguised spring missile shooters after having built so many in the past year with well disguised and implemented shooters. I kind of expected a very similar build, I just wanted to make sure I added both of those to my collection as I am trying to expand into the smaller "scene" based sets to complement the UCS (and make sure I get the most important minifigs as well) Quote

BoomBoomFlash Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 This transporter is a nice set. But it can be easily captured by rebels, as happened in my case. 8 Quote
Popular Post Cheese Posted April 22, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2017 Managed to snag myself a bargain due to the remake. Also in mint conditions as well as box and instructions in impeccable condition. No yellowing of bricks as well. Will still be getting the remake but may not necessarily be a day 1 purchase now. 15 Quote

Alpinemaps Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 You recovered all the pieces then?Yep. I have a decent box of stuff that is in various stages of Bricklinking. The parts I needed were in that box. The Falcon was in a different box. I had forgotten I had put the missing parts in that Bricklink box. Quote

Vader888 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Assembly Square. Work in progress, completed bags 1-3, and spent 10 minutes trying to figure out where I missed the small 1x1 square grey piece!! 6 Quote
TacoCat Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 75153 AT-ST - It's much taller than I expected. I really like this one, a great little set that displays well. 5 Quote

The only annoying thing is that because of the missing movable joints you can't really put it in a full action position. Quote

Right next to Ewok Village. Been meaning to do the same (although with Battle of Endor set), just refuse to pay secondary market prices lol. Quote

thegooch49 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I built 71042 Silent Mary last weekend. Cool build, looks great displayed. I personally would have rather had a regular ship w/ a solid hull, but it's still super cool. I ended up getting this down super cheap as well. I paid RRP at the Lego store, but nocked off some $$$ after selling bits of it. $29 VW Beetle Promo $50 Zombie Skeleton Sharks ($25 each) $20 Salazar $20 Jack Sparrow $20 Carina After fees and shipping, I'm at almost a $100 with 3 minifigures left for display. Not bad! 4 Quote

Popular Post AFOL_JZ Posted April 28, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2017 42039 started last night and finished this morning! With the organization of the bricks, a process that fulfills my OCD needs, this build took just over 4 hours! Easily one of my favorite Technic builds...right up there with the 8458 Silver Champion and the 8466 4x4 Offroader. Snagged this used on BL for a good deal. 10 Quote

Sprocket77 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Picked up a used Raptor Escape and just rebuilt it to make sure everything was there. What a crap set, god knows why this one is so popular. Just wondering, neither of the raptors stand freely, presume they should be able to do this. Quote
