amrandazz Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Built 75092 Naboo Starfighter (my first Naboo ship) tonight. I know everyone hates this set because its the 30th one and its basically identical to previous but for 50% off ($25), I thought it was one of the cooler cheap builds I've done when you figure in all of the minifigs + destroyer droids, fuel station, etc. 5 Quote
Popular Post marcandre Posted April 6, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 6, 2017 Picked this up a few weeks ago, finally pulled myself away from Zelda long enough to build it last night. I have built several HP sets but this is the first time doing one from the original run of sets. I really like the alternate build ideas at the back of the instruction book. They should still be doing that. The old flip box is solid too. The minifigs are a little primitive compared to the newer HP stuff but overall it's a nice set. 11 Quote
Popular Post Cheese Posted April 7, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 7, 2017 Detail on this set is immense. Not surprising that it's a classic and a must have for any modular collector. 11 Quote
Popular Post Alpinemaps Posted April 8, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 8, 2017 The kids are in the middle of building TLBM sets so I decided to crack one of these guys out for myself. 14 Quote

Popular Post Dlambert2004 Posted April 9, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 9, 2017 In honor of our recent trip to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama and in anticipation of the new Saturn V launch in June, my daughter and I built this classic model. 13 Quote

I worked there one summer in college as a Space Camp counselor. Such a cool place. Also, had quite a bit of fun after hours with the other 100 college kids from around the country who found themselves stuck in Huntsville for a summer 2 Quote
Poppy2612 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 just finished my new Caterham 7 (21307). Its a lovely build. I particularly loved how the rear wheel arches came together 7 Quote
xadrian Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I just put together my first BrickHeadz set. I don't see myself getting more of these, but they're clever. 3 Quote
Popular Post BoomBoomFlash Posted April 12, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2017 The Millennium Falcon 75105 is a real mess inside and outside, so it was time for me to tidy up that ship and rearrange the parts. Chewy got a kitchen with stove and coffee maker, the beds have a carpet in front, and telephones are installed at the couch area. 10 Quote

Popular Post Goblin Posted April 14, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 14, 2017 Had a lot of fun building Elves Secret Marketplace with my son (6) and daughter (3). Mainly me of course, but they chipped in. Engaging and bright set, with lots of small, interactive parts. 11 Quote

pete411 Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Been slowly acquiring HP sets. Snagged this complete with most bags sealed for $65. Great build! I'm hooked on these sets. 7 Quote
Popular Post Vader888 Posted April 17, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2017 Finally got around to build R2. Set was brand new in box, so I put it off for this long. Fun set to build, end result looks good. Some gripes I had were couple problems with instructions and at one point the colour tone they used changed suddenly. The small technic pin used in the leg area to prevent the feet from falling off is nearly impossible to put on. I had to connect one end to a flat piece and then transfer it in place.Front opening panels are rather tight and the left side comes apart too easily.I had difficulty positioning him properly with the third leg out. An improvement maybe to add some slopes to the head to make it look smoother.Besides these complaints, I like this set. It was larger than I expected and displays very well! 11 Quote
uaford Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 My daughter built Olivia's House 3315 last week with a little help from me. It was from our first ever bulk lot that we bought for $30 (which had about 15 lbs of Lego from 10 sets based on what I can tell), so it was a new type of challenge to organize and sort the pieces and pull out the set. Fortunately we were only missing 4 pieces from this set when it was all said and done. I think this is probably her favorite Friends set that she has built so far. She wants to build Stephanie's Beach House 41037 or Heartlake City Pool 41008 out of the lot next. Our bulk purchase didn't come with instructions, but it looks like is has 9 Friends sets and 1 Super Heroes set based on the minifigs and stickers pieces that were included. Glad she likes organizing and sorting things! 6 Quote
Popular Post CrabslayerT Posted April 18, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 18, 2017 Finally got to finish my Batpod 5004590. Managed to get all new parts, some were spares, others from Lego and bricklink, the dark pearl grey shield pieces from a small stack of breaze flee machines I found in TRU. Thankfully I sold the spare pieces in groups of 6 to help bring down the price of the build. Think it came in around 40ish quid. 17 Quote

I like it but the grey bothers me. wouldn't it look better all in black like the Tumbler? Quote

I can't quite remember tho, it's been awhile since I BL'd the parts. Quote

With the exception of swapping out the wheel centers from grey to black, that's all the official parts for the set. Still cool as folk though! 1 Quote
