Popular Post uaford Posted March 15, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 15, 2017 I finally got the chance to finish up the UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 that I picked up used a while back. I really enjoyed the build and the finished product. It is as large as expected and the use of snot pieces makes its final look a lot cleaner than the IST. If you have been thinking about picking one up for your UCS or SW collection I highly recommend it! So...what should we build next? We have 10186 UCS General Grievous, 10198 Tantive IV Anniversary Edition, 75021 Republic Gunship, and 10227 UCS B-Wing Starfighter in the queue. Which do y'all recommend we start with? (I will be building it with my 6 and 8 year old.) 19 Quote
BoomBoomFlash Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) This is Yoda. I did not actually build him, but this is what happens, if he is highly in use as a key chain to spread the force for six months. It seems he turns into some sort of Micky Mouse. Popular Post Shen Posted March 15, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 15, 2017 My wife and son just finished the Disney Castle. I've never been a "castle" guy but this set is impressive. 16 Quote

B-Wing is a nice easy build for kids because it uses large bright pieces for the inside structure. 2 Quote

Popular Post buidee Posted March 17, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2017 I thought I'd build my Lego Pirate Ships in anticipation of the Silent Mary coming out. I started buying one pair of the Black Pearl and Queen Anne, then another, etc. 29 Quote
Zelgazra Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Looks like you've left a bit of money on the table there..... 5 Quote

Popular Post areyounormal Posted March 18, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2017 Built the Silent Mary ... Surprising easy build at about 3.5 hours total. The floating effect looks awesome at eye level and should make for a cool display set. The collapsible mast is a little flimsily and I am curious if it will get worse with time - I also have the chest printing error on the Jack Sparrow figure as others have noted. Overall really cool set and looking forward to the movie now! 17 Quote

Zelgazra Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 I don't think the Jack Sparrow is misprinted guys. Look at him more closely.... he's got white arms, which implies a white shirt. He's got his pirate garb vest on over top of that white shirt. I'm inclined to think the misprint is on the box, not the minifigure. Just an opinion, but I think it makes sense. Quote

Popular Post Baragon Posted March 19, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 19, 2017 I've been investing in sets for a few months, but last night I finished my first major build since getting back into Lego. I have a nocturnal baby and a three year old, so I typically only get through a bag of parts a night. Here is Red Five alongside the First Order Tie Fighter that hooked me back in. Now to build the UCS Tie Fighter. 13 Quote

I bought them from CL and eBay mainly. i am selling three of the black pearl and Queen Anne locally, I felt it was time to sell them. I also have an even greater addiction to Harry Potter. Maybe within a year, I build my HP collection. Quote

Cheese Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Baby starts sleeping is a myth. I have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old hence its been 4 years since I've had any decent sleep unless of course I go away for business. Don't worry you build up a tolerance to lack of sleep! 4 Quote
Cheese Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Quick build given that this isn't a classic UCS set when compared to others. I can see why this is not universally loved given it's size and also given that it is a prequel ship. Nonetheless another one ticked off. 7 Quote
Popular Post uaford Posted March 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2017 Some important work getting done by my daughter today in the conference room at my office...Making headway on the Republic Gunship 75021 that she is working on. Cool ship and minifigs! 11 Quote
